Books – they can be free if you return your NLB books on time. Otherwise, splurging on brand new ones often costs a pretty penny. Enjoy your next book haul at a fraction of usual prices at Books Beyond Borders’ upcoming Fill A Totebag event, happening from 29th-31st July 2022.
With just a nifty green note, bookworms can purchase a whole tote bag’s worth of reads. The best part? You can bring your own tote bag of any size.
Books Beyond Borders is a charity organisation that collects and sells pre-loved books, with profits going towards rural public schools in Nepal.

Up next on their calendar is their Fill A Totebag event, where bibliophiles can bag up as many books as they can fit into a tote. While you can bring any bag of your choice, you wouldn’t want to be that person stowing everything you can into a massive IKEA bag. Take a reasonable amount and remember that this is all for a good cause!

Regardless of your taste in books, you’re sure to find something here – YA, Adult, fiction and non-fiction books are all on the table.
Better yet, more than 500 books in their “bargain section” are up for grabs, with the selection restocked daily. Our pro-tip? Visit as early as possible for the best picks.

Apart from the Fill A Totebag event, Books Beyond Borders also holds the occasional $1 children’s book sales. You can keep track of their latest events by following Books Beyond Borders’s Instagram page.
Those interested in snagging some new titles, be sure to RSVP in advance before heading down – walk-ins won’t be accepted. With each slot lasting 2 hours long, there’ll be plenty of time to browse all the different titles once you’re through the door.
While you’re there, drop off 5 or more books to redeem an additional $5 voucher.
