Baby Shark-themed indoor playground at West Coast Plaza
Baby shark doo doo doo doo doo doo… Sorry if that triggered some flashbacks from the days you had to endure the catchy tune on repeat. But as parents, nothing beats seeing your little ones having fun, singing along to the song, and doing the shark dance.
Now, fans of the viral tune have a brand new place to burn off all that energy. A Baby Shark indoor playground has just opened in West Coast Plaza, and we dropped by to see what it’s all about. Here’s everything parents need to know before planning a visit with the kids.
A collaboration between Wan To Play & Baby Shark
If you often bring your kids to indoor playgrounds around Singapore, chances are you’ve visited a Wan To Play outlet before. The brand has 7 outlets islandwide, including the adorable Capybara Creek playground at Leisure Park Kallang.
This time, Wan To Play has teamed up with Baby Shark to give its West Coast Plaza outlet a makeover. Previously themed around CandyLand, the playground has now been transformed into a colourful Baby Shark-themed space featuring familiar characters and interactive play zones for young fans.
How much are tickets?
Let’s get the most important details out of the way first. You’ll get to choose between ticket passes or packages:

Take note that if you purchase a package, you’ll have 365 days from the date of purchase to use up the hours. That’s a whole year, so there’s no need to stress about rushing back just to make the most of it.
What to expect at the Baby Shark indoor playground?
Ball pit, obstacle course, trampoline & slide
The play area is split into 2 sections, with one featuring a ball pit, obstacle course, trampoline, and slide.
As expected, the space is decked out with Baby Shark and the rest of the Shark Family characters. While there’s only 1 slide, don’t let its height fool you. It’s slightly steeper than it looks, and even I was a little nervous going down with my niece. She, on the other hand, had the time of her life and immediately wanted another turn.
Surrounding the slide are several obstacle course-style elements where kids can climb, crawl, and squeeze through. There’s also a trampoline beside the slide for little ones to burn off even more energy. And when they need a breather, they can dive straight into the ball pit, which is big enough for plenty of rolling and tossing.
Princess dress-up area
Kids who prefer imaginative play over climbing and sliding can spend their time at the princess dress-up area. It comes complete with a vanity table stocked with pretend makeup and brushes for little ones to glam themselves up.
There’s also a selection of princess dresses to choose from. The cutest part? A mini changing room where kids can get changed in privacy before showing off their royal look. To complete the outfit, they can top it all off with accessories like sparkly tiaras.
Mini supermarket for grocery shopping
It’s not all about play either. The playground also has stations, such as a mini supermarket, that introduce kiddos to everyday activities.
Here, kids can grab a shopping trolley and “shop” for fruits and vegetables while pretending to do the weekly grocery run. Take this opportunity to teach them the names of different produce for a hands-on learning experience.
Roleplay as a vet, firefighter & police officer
If your child has ever declared that they want to be a doctor when they grow up – congrats in advance, Asian parents – they’ll probably enjoy the veterinary clinic roleplay area.
This station is filled with stuffed animal “patients” that kids can pretend to treat and rescue. There are also props such as stethoscopes and other play medical tools to help youngins nurse their furry friends back to health.
Over at the other section of the playground, kids can continue living out their dream jobs by roleplaying as firefighters and police officers.
The area comes complete with a fire truck, police car, and even a mini jail cell to make playtime more realistic. Of course, there are firefighter and police uniforms for little ones to dress up in, along with props for them to jump straight into action.
Kinetic sand & LEGO building play areas
For something a little more laid-back, head to the kinetic sand and LEGO building play areas.
Kids will get to dig and shape the kinetic sand for some satisfying sensory play, or let their imagination run wild with LEGO bricks. It’s a nice change of pace before they’re off zooming around the playground again.
Cornfield with miniature tools
Lastly, there’s a cornfield-themed play area where little ones can “harvest” corn and try their hand at “milling” using miniature tools.

What to know before visiting the Baby Shark indoor playground?
There are a few things parents should take note of to make the visit smoother.
Everyone entering the playground is required to wear socks, including adults. If you happen to forget to bring a pair, you can purchase socks on-site at $2.90 per pair for kids.
There are also cubbyholes available for you to store your shoes and belongings before entering the play area.
For parents who prefer to sit back and keep an eye on their little ones, there are seating areas with stools, so you can relax while still keeping watch without having to enter the playground.

Heading down during the first few opening days has its perks too. There’ll be a Baby Shark meet-and-greet, where kiddos will get to interact and pose with their favourite characters.

Baby Shark indoor playground at West Coast Plaza – The Smart Local review
While we were expecting more Baby Shark-themed play structures and activities, the space is mainly decorated with the characters rather than fully designed around the theme. However, the playground still offers a lot of fun for young kids, with a good mix of active play areas and roleplaying stations.
My niece actually enjoyed the roleplaying stations the most, dressing up and pretending to take on different jobs. These areas encouraged her to use her imagination and play at her own pace.
The opening promos also make it a more worthwhile visit, especially if you’re planning to bring your child down multiple times.
A cute new addition to Singapore’s indoor playground scene
If your child is a huge Baby Shark fan, make sure to drop by during the meet-and-greet days to catch their favourite character in person and snap some cute photos together.
