There are 2 types of people that go on holiday – travellers and vacationers. Those in the latter camp, chill and unwind every knot at Royal Caribbean’s Anthem of the Seas cruise which just arrived in town.
The giant 16-deck vessel will be sailing to a variety of destinations including Penang, Phuket, and Bali. Prices start at only $579/person for a 3-night vacation at sea. We’re talking Jamie Oliver’s on board, buffet-style dining, and luxe staterooms including 2-storey lofts for a splurge.
Psst, there’s also a Black Friday sale – details below!
There will be multiple Southeast-Asian destinations for travellers to choose from. Those hoping not to stray far from home can opt for shorter itineraries like a 3-night journey to Penang or a 4-night sail to Phuket.
Settle in for 8 nights aboard the boat and visit Lombok and Bali.
If you’ve got more time to spare, hop on board their 10-night voyage to Vietnam and Thailand, or sail off to Bali and Lombok for an 8-night adventure.

Grand Loft Suite.
You won’t have to worry about cabin fever as the ship is host to a variety of different staterooms, including 2-storey loft suites you can fully unwind in. Suites also come with perks including the suites-only coastal kitchen and VOOM fast internet while out in the ocean.
P.S. Some staterooms like the Grand Suite also come with a whooping bathtub.
If you haven’t been on a Royal Caribbean cruise ship before, here’s a fun fact. The rooms are all extremely well thought out, with even the Interior Staterooms coming with a virtual window that matches the port of call.

Passengers will be treated to award-winning entertainment, with the lineup including the We Will Rock You musical, featuring iconic songs from Queen.
Foodies, you’re in for a treat too. Apart from the all-you-can-eat buffet available on board, you’ll also have access to special restaurants like Izumi with Japanese fare, and celebrity chef restaurant Jamie’s Italian.
Coming to Singapore for the first time is Johnny Rockets, an American-style retro diner where you can find burgers and milkshakes.
Life is short, desserts are always here for you – literally, on board this ship. There’s unlimited vanilla and chocolate ice cream on the pool deck so you can stuff yourself silly with sugar. Diets don’t count on vacation anyway.
North Star 360 degree capsule.
Possibly the best time to catch a ride on their North Star observation capsule is the evening. Get a bird’s eye view of the entire ship, plus a panoramic view of your surroundings from 90 metres up.
Given the unpredictable weather out at sea, the adults-only Solarium is a great place to hop on a swing or dip in a pool rain or shine. Don’t forget your Kindle or Kobo – or, for the crime podcast gurlies, headphones – as there are plenty of deck chairs to kick back on and enjoy a story.
Of course, this ship also has the iconic RipCord Skydiving simulator and FlowRider surf simulator for the adrenaline junkies.
The school holidays are right around the corner and if you haven’t figured out how to make your mini-me delighted, this cruise has plenty for the young ‘uns. Long-time Royal Caribbean fans may be glad to know that the boat is filled with facilities we know and love like the SeaPlex with bumper cars, an arcade, and a rock climbing wall.
Rock climbing wall.
Every ship has a different mascot, and Anthem’s is Gigi, an almost 10-metre-tall Giraffe statue you can’t miss. Consider it an easy rendezvous spot – an important thing to have while on a cruise with the family.
You won’t need to think about work, or all the other daily stressors on land during your 5-star stay on Anthem of the Seas. Book soon – there’s a Black Friday and Cyber Monday sale already available with nifty promotions like $950 off cruises if you book between 27th November 2024 to 2nd December 2024. You can also get 60% off every second passenger to get a bang for your buck with boo. Plus, kids under 12 sail for free so you can bring the whole fam without feeling the pinch. If that’s not a good deal, then we don’t know what to tell ya.
