The capital city of Malaysia has started to capture our attention recently, with its huge KL malls that provide a range of entertainment and shopping options; as well as new and unique establishments like this aquarium-like seafood restaurant. With these many things to do in KL, it has become an equally viable option as JB for your weekend trips.
If you’ve ticked off all the exhibitions in Singapore, consider taking a look at Alice Saves Wonderland: The Immersive Journey, an interactive fairytale exhibition happening now in KL till 29th December 2024.
Step inside the world of Alice Saves Wonderland: The Immersive Journey, an interactive exhibition with 9 themed rooms for you to explore. Before you enter this adventure, you are assigned the role of Alice, and your objective is to reinstate balance to wonderland.
As you approach the entrance of the exhibit, you’ll be greeted by a huge display of Cheshire Cat, a magical blue-coloured cat with moving eyes, giving you a glimpse of what’s to come. You’ll have the choice of entering 2 doors, either the Door of Adventure or the Door of Magic.
Upon entering the Door of Adventure, you’ll witness illuminated teapots and clocks that appear to be floating, drawing you into the mysteries of this exhibit. If you choose the latter, you’ll be gliding down a white slide into Alice’s wonderland, with projections of weirdly shaped clocks all around you.
As you advance, you’ll find yourself walking through the Gateway to Wonderland to reach The Enchanted Forest, a room filled with larger than life-sized flower topiaries. Here, a virtual Talking Flower on the projected screen will share a message about nature’s fragility, as well as the importance of saving the ecosystem.
The next room, The Rabbit House, is an iconic one as you are transported into a world with living room tables that have shrunk into miniature sizes and chairs that are built for giants. Enter The Mystical Forest and you’ll be given an interactive torchlight to search for the missing Cheshire Cat on the screens, proving you have what it takes to restore Wonderland.
The Red Room is definitely one of the more exciting ones, housing huge chess pieces inside a bright red castle room. Test your wits by moving the chess pieces and challenging your friends to a game, or simply take pictures to update your IG stories.
At The Final Showdown, you’ll be put through a test of courage and be pitted against The Thrash Dragon, a monster who poses a threat to the peace of Wonderland. Your only weapon is a sword of hope and defeating this dragon would mean you have saved Wonderland from chaos.
Once you’re done exploring the themed rooms filled with several missions, the next stop is the Wonderland Tea Party where your victory will be celebrated with picnic food and elegant white seats for you to rest on.
To make your memory of this exhibition last forever, visit the gift shop and get yourself an Alice In Wonderland-themed souvenir. There will also be interactive photobooths spread throughout the exhibition, so make sure you have your best poses prepared.
With interactive rooms and whimsical characters from the classic fairytale, Alice Saves Wonderland: The Immersive Journey is the ideal exhibition to visit for those looking to escape the realities of life. Whether you’re a fan of Lewis Carroll’s Alice In Wonderland or planning to bring your kids here, this will be an unforgettable experience.
