AJ Hackett Is Hosting A Oktoberfest Party On 5-8 October With NO Entrance Or Cover Fees

Oktoberfest with AJ Hackett

It’s barely been 2 weeks since AJ Hackett Sentosa has opened and already they’re playing host to a party featuring booze, live music, and death-defying experiences.

From 5-8 October 2017, Mastercard is collaborating with AJ Hackett to hold OktoberFest @ Sapphire Pavilion. For those who are wary of the dreaded entrance fees associated with merrymaking, hesitate no more as there is NO cover charge at all for this event.

Here’s what you can look forward to:

There will be street games

We’ve all heard about soccer, but Speed Cage Soccer may raise a few eyebrows. There will be a speed cage soccer booth during the event, where players compete to score a goal in an inflatable net. The catch? The net is equipped with a speed reading to catch the movement of the ball, so players, unleash your inner David Beckham to compete for the fastest shot of the day!

Golfers, there are bunker shots that you can participate in too! Whether you’re a beginner or a pro, this is perfect place to practice those difficult putts.

Kiddos are not exempted from fun either as there will be Bavarian hair braiding and face painting booths available. Doll them up in this cute milkmaid hairstyle, and it’ll be a perfect family photo op moment.

A sandy-play area will also be specially set up for children, so if you’re driving over, bring along an extra set of clothes for them – you’ll be saving yourself a world of hassle!

Live band by Die Paulaner Musikanten

A German festival isn’t complete without music, and for this Oktoberfest, Die Paulaner Musikanten is here to celebrate the occasion with us – “the Musik-what?”, you may ask. The Bavarian band is made up of seasoned street performers and musicians, and their traditional folk music is spiced up with quirky dancing!

For a more immersive experience, make any payment with Mastercard to access the Stein Pit (aka the VIP area) – the place offers a closer view of the band, and there are dedicated service staff there to cater to your needs.

Try the ORIGINAL Oktoberfest beer

Fact: The Oktoberfest started out in small beer tents, which became so popular that they eventually “evolved” into tent halls with the backing of microbreweries. Beer is a major part of German culture, and if that strikes a chord with you, don’t miss out on the original Paulaner Oktoberfest Bier! This full bodied beer is malty, with dark toffee notes and a subtle fruitiness – perfect for those who prefer their beer rich.

And for those who’d like to take a festival memento home, make your payment by Mastercard – a minimum spend of $100 on OktoberFest beer gives you a chance at a lucky draw to win a Paulaner Beer Stein.

Note: Five Paulaner Beer Steins are to be given away daily.

Enjoy pork knuckles and other Bavarian food

Sio bak lovers, the Traditional Pork Knuckle With Sweet Sour Cabbage ($32.00) is for you. You’ll be served an entire pork knuckle that’s tenderly roasted, along with crackling golden brown skin – the generous portion of meat is sure to satisfy any sio bak cravings for a week!

Besides, Mastercard cardholders get 10% off all food and drinks* with a minimum spending of $80**. With other dishes such as the Gourmet Sausage Platter with sauerkraut, roasted potato with sour cream ($26.00) and Beef Goulash with garlic mashed, roasted summer vegetables ($22.00), the quota will be easy to reach if you order dishes to share amongst friends.

* Promotion is exclusive to OktoberFest @ Sapphire Pavilion
** Food and beer are served at different stalls and receipts cannot be combined.

Enjoy a panoramic view of Sentosa on the 17 storeys high AJ Hackett Skybridge

Whether it’s a first date or you’re simply hanging out with bae, the AJ Hackett Skybridge is sure to impress. At 17 storeys high, the bridge offers a majestic view of Siloso beach, and there are glass panels in the floor that you can look through for a feel of walking on air. We’ve heard there are plans to convert the full bridge into a glass-panelled one in the future too!

Note: Mastercard cardholders are entitled to 25% off your Skybridge tickets (U.P $16). For just $12, this is a pretty dang good deal for a panoramic view of Siloso Beach.

Bravehearts can inch their way closer to the glass booth – with a glimpse of the roads beneath you, you’ll literally be standing on the edge.

Celebrate this Oktoberfest with food, booze and entertaining activities

With 10% discounts off all food and drinks, special access to the VIP area and even 25% off your AJ Hackett Skybridge ticket, the promotion ensures that you’ll be getting all-rounded fun.

The event is held at Sapphire Pavilion @ Sentosa, and you can take a complimentary shuttle (no island admission charge!) directly to AJ Hackett’s doorstep, which is a short distance away from Sapphire Pavilion. Or Grab a ride – enter “Thirsty4” as a promo code – you’re entitled to $4 off your ride into Sentosa!

Note: The promo code can only be used on Thursdays, from 5th October to 28th December, 6PM onwards.

Besides, Sapphire Pavilion is by the beach – a fresh alternative to the club scene where you won’t have to constantly touch shoulders with everyone. Did we mention that admission is free?

The festival is held from the 5th to 8th October, so don’t hesitate any longer – gather all of your friends for this exciting celebration of German culture, Prost (cheers)!
