This 20-Day Bus Journey Goes From SG To India By Land, Tickets Available For Dec 2022

Adventures Overland Singapore to India

Travel possibilities are slowly being unlocked with VTLs to Australia, Malaysia and Korea kicking back into action. There are mountains to climb, seas to sail and if you’re a road trip junkie, there’s a 4,500KM-long journey awaiting with Adventures Overland’s bus expedition from Singapore to India coming our way in December 2022.

4,500KM through five countries in 20 Days

For those who’ve been enamoured with road trips, you can stop watching yet another vlog and try the real deal for yourself with an epic adventure across Southeast Asia. The trip lasts 20 days and traverses the following five countries:

  • Singapore
  • Malaysia
  • Thailand
  • Myanmar
  • India

Along the way, enjoy the cool weather at Cameron Highlands, sunbathe at the beaches of Krabi, and marvel at the pagodas of Yangon. End your trip at Imphal – the capital of Manipur, which lies in northeastern India. You’ll also be cruising along Asian Highway 1, known as the longest highway network in Asia.

Much like an airplane, there’ll also be WiFi and a bathroom on board, alongside entertainment systems, phone charging ports and foldable trays at every seat.

Each ticket on this journey costs a pretty penny at INR 625,000 (~S$11,300). But unlike the average free-and-easy road trip adventure, this allows you to sit back and enjoy the ride.

All hotel stays and most meals will be provided throughout the 20-day journey. Travellers will also get an English speaking guide for every location, and Adventure Overland has shared that they’ll settle the nitty gritty things like permits and Visas on your behalf.

Organised adventures since 2015

Adventure Overland has planned several expeditions since 2015, including an icy road trip within Iceland and a cross-border trip from India to London – both albeit in smaller SUVs.

While its first bus expedition was supposed to embark from New Delhi to Singapore in December last year, that didn’t take off – likely due to Covid-19 concerns. According to Yahoo Singapore, the upcoming journey from 5th – 24th December 2022 will be the first of its kind between the two destinations.

Go on an overland adventure from Singapore to India

An offbeat adventure could be waiting if the pandemic subsides by the end of this year. There are only 20 seats available for this one-off journey with Adventure Overland, and tickets are available on a first-come-first-served basis.

To get first dibs, indicate your interest by filling out your contact details on Adventure Overland’s website and follow @adventureoverland on Instagram.
