Somehow, we always think that a higher price = higher quality; this applies to clothes like activewear too. You’re going to be squatting, stretching and contorting your body in a multitude of positions, and the last thing you’d want is for a split in your leggings.
However, quality doesn’t always have to come with a hefty price tag. From local brands to Shopee stores and chain retailers, here are affordable activewear stores you can check out that won’t hurt your bank accounts.
Table of Contents
The best and easiest way to get the right fit is to measure yourself and compare your measurements to the sizing charts provided by the clothing company you’re buying from. Be sure to stand up in a neutral stance to get the most accurate measurements. You’ll also want to measure the fullest or widest part of your bust, waist, and hip to get the right number. Don’t suck in your belly to trim off an inch or two; you want to be comfortable during a workout.
Spandex, lycra, or elastane is what gives activewear its stretchability, but you’ll usually see this blended with other fabrics like nylon, polyester, and cotton to increase their breathability and moisture-wicking properties. Here’s a quick overview of popular activewear fabrics:
Fabric | Breathability | Moisture-wicking ability | Stretchability |
Nylon | Yes | Yes | High |
Polyester | Yes | Yes | Medium |
Cotton | Yes | No, but absorbs moisture well | Low |
For intense workouts where you’ll be sweating quite a bit, go for a fabric mix of 10%-20% spandex or lycra, with 80%-90% polyester or nylon. This will ensure the activewear is moisture-wicking enough so you aren’t feeling damp throughout your workout.
Since such blends have high stretchability, it might be tempting to size down if you’re in between sizes, but this can restrict your movement. In this case, sizing up will be more comfortable and will allow for more flexibility.
Lower impact workouts like walking and yoga can benefit from a 5%-10% spandex and 90%-95% cotton blend for more comfort. In-betweeners can size down for this, since there’s enough spandex to keep it slightly stretchy for light movements.
This may be more applicable for the curvier ones out there, but it’s good knowledge to have for anyone picking out a sports bra. 2 rules to remember: high impact bras hold breasts in place and prevent bounce; and if you’re above a D-cup, go one impact higher for any activity you plan to do.

With 4.9 stars out of 5 based on over 80,000 reviews, rest assured that quality won’t be compromised despite the low prices. Plus, you’ll be able to collect daily cashback vouchers and benefit from claiming discounts from the online store itself to make your spending even more worthwhile.
Working out while pregnant has plenty of benefits. It can help reduce back pain and bloating, reduce high blood pressure, and even helps prepare you for labour and birth – a strong pelvic floor is needed to push during vaginal births.

That said, there are few activewear brands that cater specifically to soon-to-be moms. Enter CRZ Yoga, which has a maternity line of exercise tops, biker bottoms, and leggings all from $43.
They’re all made with their Butterluxe fabric that contains 19% lycra for better stretch, so you can wear your leggings all throughout your pregnancy. Plus, each piece comes in up to 18 colours to match the rest of your wardrobe.
Catering to Asian body types is Xexymix, an activewear brand from Korea that has sold more than 12 million pairs of leggings to date and for good reason. Their sports bottoms are made to zip up tummy fat, and lift and contour thighs to give the illusion of a perky peach and slimmer legs. They also have 4-way stretch, which make them versatile for a variety of exercises.

Their in-demand leggings retail from $46.60, but look out for their frequent sales where there can be discounts of up to 90%. Their current year-end sale has leggings going for just $18 a pair, while bra tops are as cheap as $24.
Apart from activewear for pilates and yoga, Xexymix also sells golf apparel suitable for the greens. Their stylish polos are now $35.40 and golf skirts are $47.60.

We’re no strangers to Decathlon. Known for stocking a wide range of sporting goods at affordable prices, it has since become the go-to megastore for all fitness equipment. But don’t sleep on its range of apparel though. For as low as $11.90, you’ll be able to get yourself a high-impact running sports bra, which usually retails for much higher.
They’ve also got dri-fit running shorts that come fitted with a hidden pocket for your phone.

Decathlon’s range of tights and shorts also shouts affordability with pieces starting from $7.90. They’re also pretty size inclusive with bras running from 2XS to XL and bottoms up to 3XL or UK20-22.

A homegrown activewear brand for women, Urbanized Co. keeps its prices low with all pieces going for under $38. If you find yourself having to fight your way out of your sports bra after a workout, you’d be happy to know that they have bras in both racerback and clasp designs.
Though the brand doesn’t boast an extensive collection, it’s very affordable with sports bras around $25 and tights from $29-$34. The brand also has its own lifestyle collection consisting of sports dresses, tank tops, sweatshirts, and shorts for you to lounge in on days you’re not hitting the gym or fitness classes.

Cheak, previously called butter, is a sister brand of local fashion brand Love, Bonito. They’re a little more upscale, but their reviews vouch for comfortability and apt smooth-like-butter quality. First-time buyers can get 10% off with the promo code <CHEAK10-NEW>, but there’s also a sale on right now, with activewear going for up to 50% off.

This means you can now get your hands on cute bras for as low as $22 each and leggings for only $43. Those who plan to add swimming as part of their cardio workout for 2025 can also get Cheak’s own line of swimwear. Bikini tops start from $26 and bottoms start from $20.

The Pedler is an Instagram store that sources high-quality pieces straight from manufacturers. Pre-orders are usually open and you’ll be able to check out the available products directly on their Instagram page.
Their pieces are known for their Lululemon-like quality – but for just a tiny fraction of the price. Both tights and bras go for about $30 each and sizes range from S to XL or US 4 to 10. Though the pieces featured are mostly yoga tights and sports bras, keep an eye out for their tops and runner shorts that make an appearance every now and then.

Uniqlo might be the first place we think of when it comes to comfy basics but they have pretty decent sports apparel too. Though they don’t boast a wide range of designs and products, their leggings ($29.90-$39.90) are made from their renowned AIRism material – perfect for keeping cool in Singapore’s humid weather. Some tights also feature UV protection so you’ll be protected while enjoying outdoor activities like hiking.

Priding themselves with lightweight and breathable pieces made from Cloud fabric, Anya Active is a homegrown brand that strives to only provide top quality pieces. Their Cloud collection aims to be as comfy as wearing second skin while being fast-drying. It also isn’t crazy compressive, still providing wearers with ample support during workouts.

Their range of leggings ($68) and bras ($48-$52) scream functionality, with a couple of designs featuring side pockets for you to keep your phone or locker keys in while working out. Check out their ongoing Archive Sale, where you can get older designs that are just as functional. Good news, nothing’s above $48.

If you can’t bear spending $100+ on a single pair of name brand tights, Air Active on Shopee is another good dupe. You’ll be able to get comfy tights (from $15.60) in a multitude of colours like Bean Pink, Rhino Grey, and Desert Sun for just a fraction of the price.
Their sports bras are affordable too, with prices starting from $11.50. They’ve both padded yoga tops and sports bras fitted with clasps for you to choose from. In addition to their activewear, the store also sells equipment like yoga tension straps and stretch boards to aid you in your workout.

Cotton On is definitely a familiar brand, with its Body range that has everything from lingerie and loungewear to activewear. Their tights (from $20) come in 3 different lengths – capris, 7/8, and full. For those who are more petite, go for the 7/8 length that will fit perfectly as a full length tight.

Though their sports bras ($24.99-$34.99) mostly come in solid colours, they have a few fun printed designs here and there. Keep an eye out for their 2 for $40 deals while shopping – you’ll even be able to mix and match among promotional items and customise your own workout set.

If you’re a Shopee regular, you need to add Sports Angel to your list. You can also find trendy flared yoga pants similar to the highly-raved Lululemon Nulu Pants at only $19.35. Besides that, they’ve also got padded sports bras from $9.70 and tennis skirts at $15.99.
Another affordable option on Shopee, ThinkTure Yoga Sports features mostly yoga apparel but also has sports bras of different support levels. If you’re one who loves coordinating your gym outfits, you’re in luck thanks to their matching yoga sets going from just $12.83.

Their sports bras range from $10.07-$20.56, while their tights are going from $11.91-$20.86. They’ve also got some long and short sleeve tops you can wear to the gym, for yoga or even running.
And unlike many retailers on Shopee that don’t provide an extensive size chart, ThinkTure Yoga Sports lists their sizes out according to measurements, body weight, and even cup size for sports bras. You’ll no longer have to reach for the measuring tape or desperately convert your sizes on Google.

Staying fit and getting comfortable quality sportswear doesn’t necessarily mean spending a bomb on a single piece. With these wallet-friendly activewear stores, you might just be able to snag yourself several workout pieces for the price of one pair of tights from an upscale fitness brand. Talk about mad deals.
