You can stay in a retired bus or SMRT train in Singapore, but just 20 minutes from JB checkpoint is a new opening that’ll let you live out your air crew dreams, staycay style. Scheduled to launch in mid-2026, 1975 Avenue & Hotel is a 38-room luxury hotel housed in 2 Boeing 747 planes, with a man-made beach and lagoon pools.
Here’s what you can set your sights on:
1975 Avenue & Hotel is an easy 20-minute drive or taxi from the Causeway, but if you’re talking exact location, it’s next to the Starhill Golf & Country Club, in between Skudai, where you’ll find the ever-popular Paradigm Mall, and Mount Austin.
You could potentially take public transport there, but it’ll be a 1.5h journey, requiring that you take bus BmjP101 from JB Sentral to Larkin Sentral, switch to BmjP113 and alight at Setia Tropika, then walk 2.3km to get to the hotel. However, since the hotel is not operational yet at the time of writing, one might hope that there will be better public transportation links when it does.
If you’ve always aspired to fly first class, but like most of the general population, cannot afford to, perhaps this new JB hotel can give you a taste of that. The 2 retired Boeing 747 jets, where the hotel’s rooms are located, have been reconfigured into just 18 luxury suites.
Fun fact: a Boeing 747 jet can accommodate up to 660 passengers; 2 planes work out to a max capacity of 1320 passengers – assuming 2 occupants per suite, all that space will now be the playground of just 36 hotel guests. How’s that for first class?
Other than the 18 aeroplane suites, the hotel also boasts 20 rooms, each inspired by a different country around the world. Step into one, and you might find yourself transported to Morocco, or even Japan, without actually getting on a plane.
We all know that a hotel stay isn’t defined by just the rooms, and at this aeroplane-themed luxury resort, there’s a man-made beach and lagoon pools that’ll surely make you think you’re off the grid, at an exotic beach destination.
All we have now are artist impressions of the resort, but trust that we will update this article with more photos when it opens.

Although we all love visiting JB cafes, staying at 1875 Avenue & Hotel comes with loads of dining options – there will be a 44-unit commercial hub on the premises, housing F&B options both casual and high-end, entertainment, and shopping. One brand that’s set to make waves is the first-ever Hard Rock Sky Bar, promising panoramic views and curated beats.

The hotel will also have your usual amenities like a gym, sauna, and spa, plus in-house restaurants too.
This exciting new hotel joins a slew of new things to do in JB this 2026 and new JB malls that we’re all looking forward to, including SKS City Mall JBCC. Let’s also not forget that Japan’s famous Matsumoto Kiyoshi has also opened just across the Causeway, so there’s plenty to do while we await the opening of 1975 Avenue & Hotel.
