MapleSEA new events August 2026
When it comes to iconic computer games from our childhood that we used to spend hours on, MapleSEA easily tops the list for many 90s kids out there. I vividly recall spending a better part of my formative years in Henesys Hunting Ground hammering away at Orange Mushrooms and virtually meeting up with my mates after school for countless party quest runs.
In case you didn’t know, the game is still going strong, and turns a whopping 21 this year. If you’ve ever dabbled with the idea of returning to the Maple World, now’s an opportune time to do so. There are a slew of events perfectly suited for veteran Maplers, returning players, and newbies alike headed our way on 19th August 2026; here’s all you need to know about them.
Mentorship System

One of the main draws of old-school MaplestorySEA was how social it was. You’d drop the occasional “gratz” whenever you saw another player level up, or chat up a storm with friends and strangers alike as you lounged about in popular towns like Henesys and Kerning City.
The new Mentorship System aims to bring some of that magic back, so your training maps won’t just be filled with bubbly damage numbers. It’s reminiscent of the old Family System that was removed from the game sometime in 2014, where more experienced players were incentivised to show new adventurers the ropes when it came to exploring the Maple World.
In this new feature, those who’ve completed their 6th Job Advancement at Level 260 can step up as Masters to guide freshed-face players, who’ll pair up with these veterans as Apprentices. Together, you’ll work towards clearing weekly missions to earn Training Points, Qi, and Mentorship Coins to unlock useful buffs and purchase exclusive items in the Mentorship Shop.
For the competitive sort, there’s a weekly leaderboard to set your sights on, in order to lay claim to additional rewards based on how many points you and your partner have accumulated.
Night Troupe: Omega Sector
Experienced Maplers who’ve dedicated some time away from Maple Island back in the day might remember swinging by Omega Sector. It’s the Area 51-themed zone, and is home to tonnes of alien-looking mobs and most importantly, the Mesorangers, a Power Ranger-inspired defence force who’re constantly fighting hard to prevent a full-fledged invasion.

In the Night Troupe: Omega Sector Event, you’ll be sent back to this nostalgic sci-fi military base to once again aid the Mesoranger’s alien-deterring efforts. You’ll be tasked with defending the grounds, uncovering the secret of the mysterious Mesozard S, and thwarting Dr. Gray’s sinister plots.

There’ll also be a Sidekicks, Sortie! event that rewards you for hunting monsters within a certain level range with Ranger Points, in order to summon the Mesorangers themselves across 10 thrilling waves of combat. To help with the grind, players can tap into weekly strategies for an EXP or Character Level Boost, as well as Skill Enhancement modes to earn bonus rewards.
Change Burning: Lucid
Another of MaplestorySEA’s most memorable aspects are the many bosses you’ll come across on your journeys. From King Slime to the Black Mage, nothing forges stronger bonds between Maplers better than an intense bout with a boss, but have you ever thought about stepping into the shoes of one for a change?

Well, the Change Burning: Lucid event invites you to do just that. For the uninitiated, the dream-manipulating Lucid is one of the bosses you’ll have to defeat on your long quest to rid the Maple World of the Black Mage.
However, this event allows characters Level 260 and above to transform into Lucid to do some antagonising yourself. There’s a whole progression system to immerse yourself in, complete with Lucid’s very own skill tree and equipment.

Play around with both Lucid and your designated Change Burning Character, through weekly and seasonal missions, and you’ll be rewarded with sweet Dream Gifts upon hitting certain milestones. Goodies include the Lucid Damage Skin, Change Lucidroid Coupon, and the Fantasy Equipment Selection Box to name a few.

Whether you’re an avid Mapler or still on the fence about returning to the game, there’s plenty to do in-game this August in MaplestorySEA. What’s more, they’ll be taking things offline this October with a special IRL Maple Campus event to celebrate their 21st anniversary.
Keep an eye out for that if you need more nostalgia to sway you into picking up the game once again. For more updates, stay tuned to MapleSEA’s social media platforms: Facebook and Instagram.
