If you suddenly find yourself out of things to read, having gone through all your novels and fanfiction, then it might be time for a much-needed book scouting at this ongoing book fair in District 5.
Hội sách xuyên Việt is a book fair currently ongoing at Văn Lang Park from 15th Nov to 20th Nov 2022, coincidentally ending right on Vietnamese Teacher’s Day, so you might want to check if there’s a book here that might make a great gift for your teacher.

Hội sách xuyên Việt features some of the newest works from a wide array of genres for readers of all ages, including children’s books, young adult novels, and self-help books. Those who are tired of the current collection in many bookstores might be able to find something that suits their taste here.
All of the books here are sourced from reputable bookstores such as Nhã Nam, Đinh Tị, Minh Long, and Thái Hà so you can be assured of their print quality.
Even if you’re not fond of reading, the book fair will also feature some comic books and manga, so be sure to check out the fair if you’re still looking for that missing volume.

A piece of advice we have is to bring your biggest bag because there might be a lot of book-carrying, thanks to discounts that can go up to 50%, as well as a wide collection of books that are sold for just VND10,000 (~USD0.40).
If your total bill exceeds certain thresholds, you’ll even get some bonus gifts to bring home, such as keychains, notebooks, or a brand-new bag so you can carry even more books.

Besides having books on sale, the fair will also feature a slew of activities, one of which is a chat about new book authors, titled “Khi người trẻ viết lách và xuất bản sách” featuring the appearance of two ambitious writers who had just published their first books: Kelly Phương with her philosophical Kẻ thuận tay trái and Ngô Tú Ngân, with her compilation of tragic short stories titled Lời nguyền’ gái miền Tây.
For those who appreciate the art of tea, Nguyễn Ngọc Tuấn with his recent tea-drinking guide Thưởng trà thật đẹp, thật vui will be having a chat with the audience about his book as well as the many intricacies of drinking tea. So check out the event “Giới thiệu tác phẩm Thưởng trà thật đẹp – thật vui” if you’re interested in upping your tea-sipping game to a new level.
Hội sách xuyên Việt will be a great place for bookworms hungry for something new to read, be it appetite-whipping cookbooks, tear-jerking stories, or neat guides that’ll help you learn new skills. This book fair might be a place that you shouldn’t miss!
