Free Holidays for Vietnam’s Healthcare Workers, Sponsored By Vietnam Airlines And Vinpearl

Free holidays for healthcare workers

With no new case nor fatality reported for a week to date, Vietnam is on a winning streak in its fight to contain the COVID-19 outbreak. As a result, Vietnam’s government put an end to the nationwide social distancing, with effect from 23th April.

None of this would have happened without the tireless efforts of healthcare workers, who put themselves at risks of exposure by showing up at work everyday to treat patients and keep the public safe.

In a gesture of tribute to healthcare workers on the frontline, on 21st April, Vietnam Airlines and Vinpearl kicked off the Tribute To Healthcare Heroes program. The program will sponsor 5,000 vacation packages, including 10,000 flight tickets and 10,000 nights in resort villas – all for medical frontliners to thank them for their service.

Free flight tickets and vacation nights

Vietnam Airlines and Vinpearl have contacted the Ministry of Health for a list of frontline healthcare workers who participated in the treatment of coronavirus patients.

Each healthcare worker will be offered 2 round-trip tickets for domestic flights and a 2-nights stay in one of Vinpearl’s resorts, which can accommodate up to 4 people, according to VNA Spirit.

The vacation packages already cover the cost of room services, dining services, and entertainment activities at VinWonders and Vinpearl Safari.

Vietnam Airlines will offer a 75% discount on 2 flight tickets of those who travel with each healthcare worker.

The program will officially begin once Vietnam announces the end of the COVID-19 outbreak and be valid for 6 months from this date. The commencement of the program will be no later than 30th June 2021.

An opportunity for healthcare workers to recharge

Healthcare workers are some of the busiest people in the world. Apart from constant responsibilities and pressure falling on their shoulders, they have to deal with an overwhelming amount of work, from keeping track of paperwork to dealing with emergencies. A holiday is simply a luxury many of them can’t afford.

This program will offer hardworking healthcare workers a much-needed break from their hectic working schedule, which they totally deserve.

Vacationers can also participate in exciting activities at Vinpearl

After months working around the clock and being separated from their family, healthcare workers can finally go on holidays to relieve stress and bond with their loved ones.

Let healthcare workers know that their hard work didn’t go unnoticed

Healthcare workers are always on the frontlines risking their lives to keep the public safe. It is everyone’s duty to not take their sacrifice for granted, and try to extend our appreciation for them  at every opportunity possible.

For the time being, the easiest way for us to do so is to continue taking necessary precautions such as wearing a mask or face shield, and maintain social distancing, to protect ourselves and the public.
