It’s been a year and a half since Avengers: Endgame brought us a grand conclusion to the third phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and with Black Widow – the movie that was supposed to kick off the next phase – delayed all the way until May 2021, that means there’s a 2-year gap before we get to witness the return of our beloved superheroes on the big screen. Needless to say, Marvel fans are getting restless.
To scratch that itch, check out 3H Coffee. Located just next to Hanoi Times City, the café boasts a huge collection of superhero figurines that any fan will be delighted to see.
Seated at a street corner and spanning two floors, 3H Coffee boasts open entrances and balconies, allowing for plenty of natural light and open air.
Upon stepping inside, you’ll no doubt find your attention drawn to a swole bust of Iron Man displayed on the counter, but this is only a teaser for the massive collection that the café houses on its second floor.
It is clear that the owner here loves Iron Man 3000 as there are entire shelves dedicated to figures related to our beloved genius, billionaire, playboy, and philanthropist – featuring the many suits he wore throughout different Marvel movies, and other gadgets such as a recreation of the Infinity Gauntlet.
Speaking of which, there’s a huge model of the original gauntlet worn by Thanos on display here as well.
Aside from Iron Man, you can find here several Bearbrick figures, some of which are modeled after popular characters such as Doraemon, Batman, and Tom & Jerry.

At one corner, another display case houses a mismatched assemblage of cute chibi figurines spanning across Dragon Ball characters, Disney princesses, Overwatch champions, and more.
Sections of the walls that are not opened out to the streets are instead covered by lush green vines. Combined with a koi fish pond at the base of the staircase, they add a lively vibe to the space.
Barring that, the décor is minimalistic, with wooden chairs and concrete blocks serving as tables.

In terms of drinks, 3H Coffee’s menu is fairly expansive with over 30 beverage options to choose from, which range across coffee, juices, smoothies, and tea. The price range falls between VND20,000-VND50,000 (~USD0.87-USD2.17), which is reasonable.
We find the bạc sỉu cốt dừa (VND40,000, ~USD1.74) – Vietnamese coffee with extra coconut milk – to be a tasteful cuppa that’s not too strong. This is a good option if you’re trying to cut down on your caffeine intake.
Meanwhile, if you visit during a cold day, you might want to get an orange cinnamon tea (VND45,000, ~USD1.95) to warm yourself up. We’d also recommend dressing warmly, as the café’s open space means it can get pretty windy.
2020 has been a pretty gloomy year for fans of superhero movies, with the passing of Black Panther’s actor Chadwick Boseman, and multiple filming projects delayed due to COVID-19.
But while we wait for the next movie to watch and discuss with our friends, hitting up 3H Coffee to gawk at the many figurines that the owner’s collected can be a nice way to scratch our itch.
