Aglio Olio is the first restaurant to localise pasta in Singapore - The Italian fare served here comes with a Singaporean twist, such as using chilli padi to substitute chilli flakes, hence culminating in the birth of a dish to call Singapore's very own. The pasta and pizza are a truly unique blend of east and west, all in one mouthful.

My colleagues and I started to notice the quaint restaurant when we frequented the rosti stall beside it. The appalling number of newspaper articles were also a huge drawing point for us to visit it.
Excited, we decided to go down one monday afternoon. We were exceptionally pleased to find that we will get four free chicken wings when we purchase two main courses. Of course, we decided to try their famous aglio olio. I loved it that we could choose the level of spiciness that we would like out pasta to be cooked.
Being adventerous, I decided to go for three chilli padis. I loved the it being really spicy. The servings were generous and the servers were friendly despite being really busy.
My colleagues and I were so satisfied with the food that we suggested going back again for team lunch. Especially since there are different offers everyday, some of which entitled a free pasta with three main courses, it is really enticing to go back for more
The ambience is simple and nice, but the aircon is a tad cold. If they could adjust the temperature slightly higher, i'm sure i would enjoy my meal a lot more.
My friend had mushroom aglio olio. It looked delicious with olive oil and sprinkles of chili flakes. I had the cream seafood pasta. It was yummy and i had mine spicy with lots of fresh seafood. They were very generous with sliced fish, 2 prawns, slices of squid and 1 big mussel. The food was delicious where east meets west. Italian with a local touch. The pasta comes with 4 different levels of spiciness to choose from. A perfect combination for Singaporean who loves Italian.
Over all it was a no fuss and affordable meal. Value for money.
