The month-long Ramadan Bazaar along Geylang Serai is a must-go for me. Every year, I visit the bazaar about once a week just to soak in the culture and ambience of the festive Hari Raya period!
with great food sold like the ever-present Ramly burgers, to Nasi Briyani and Nasi Padang all at affordable prices, dining here is compulsory for me! Next come all the cookies and goodies that are sold here by the literal thousands! The cookies' sale reaches fever pitch on the last night of the bazaar, where it's possible to get a $20 bottle of pineapple tarts for only $5, as vendors try to clear their stocks before the dawn of Hari Raya!!
This bazaar is set in Singapore's colourful cultural backdrop and I hope it never changes in any aspect.
