Minimalist’s Paradise

Muji has always been my go-to window shopping place. As a fan of minimalist items, Muji’s stationary and interior design has never failed to impress me. I am a huge enthusiast of their notebooks that are just so simple and clean. The lines on the papers are subtle enough to be unnoticeable but also bold enough to be seen when you write. Perfect for people who love blank paper yet lack the ability to write in straight lines.

I would say Muji is worth it when they have sales, but other than that, the prices can be pretty steep for an average student. Do be sure to catch their seasonal sales to enjoy it fully!

Muji is the perfect place for you to shop in when you’re looking to organise your space. They provide clean and fresh looking products, including a range of boxes which you can stack, shape and play with to your heart’s content. Basically, Muji offers you the building bricks to a cleaner lifestyle.

Although Muji’s products are undeniably lovely, they are also expensive. However, I’d rather save up and get a Muji item than any other brand, due to their long-lasting and beautiful simplistic designs.

I love stationery shopping at Muji because of its simple yet classy designs. I think people generally love that their designs never get old and they are reasonably priced. The quality of these stationery don't disappoint either! And what's best are the discount offers during certain seasons. (Eg: Christmas! )

Besides, they also offer a rather wide variety of products on their shelves other than stationery.
Such as clothes, food, bags, shoes, make up and even some diy products!
However, I've to mention that the other products can be very expensive! Especially the clothes and shoes. Whilst the material is good, I maintain that I will not pay over a hundred bucks for a simple pair of flats.

I will recommend shopping at Muji if you are in need of some school-motivation (new pens/pencils/pencil cases ALWAYS bring me joy) ! Muji is definitely the place for you if you live your life upholding a minimalistic theme, you wouldn't even need me to tell you this.

Love the simplicity

Muji is a store that I love going into, just walking one round in Muji lifts my spirits a little. I just love how simple it is, and how the ambience radiates a quiet calmness that makes people feel more at ease and relaxed. The design of the products mainly revolved around the concept of simplicity and superb quality. The colours of the products more or less go in line with the whole theme and decor of the shop itself - brown earthy colours that reminds one of nature, the music in the store is very soothing and pleasant as well.

It sells a wide variety of products, from clothes to bath products to stationary to kitchen ware to food as well as bedroom details. I always go back to the store for stationary and notebooks. I love how smooth the pens are as well as the simplicity and quality of the notebooks. Although Muji sells at pretty expensive prices, the stationary remains quite affordable ( Some of the notebooks can get a little more pricey so it depends on which one you are getting). The other products however, like clothings and blankets and linen sheets can get pretty pricey.

It is a place that would do pretty good retail therapy, even just by browsing through the shop.

When someone mentions muji, these are the things that appear in my head: brown, white, simple, wood, plastic, clear/transparent stuff, nicely packaged food, neat store and expensive clothes.
It's true. The shop has a very nature woody edge to it and it does look very japanese indeed. My favourite section is the food section and the stationery section. Their food is so nicely packaged and yummm the marshmallows are heaven! those with the strawberry jam filling :) they are soft and almost melt in your mouth.

I think it's a girl thing to like transparent stuff and they do have a lot of those. If not transparent, translucent. Everything is slightly overpriced.. I do think you're paying for the packaging as well but my favourite steal is their notebook. It's an A6 notebook, simple brown paperback cover with blank pages (unlined) which you can use for anything! you can even decorate it and use it as a journal. It's only like 3 bucks?

Do pay this store a visit and keep your eyes peeled for cheap stuff!
Their pens are awsm. Those spring types. Heh. I must say the ink runs out really fast though!

A word that best describes MUJI would none other be "simple", because everything they sell, from stationery to clothing, is just so simple yet beautiful. Most of their products, if not all, are eco-friendly, and for a world that is facing serious environmental issues, these products are warmly welcomed.

Their stationery section has always been one of my personal favorite hangouts, and each stationery is designed to tell their individual unique story. Their notebooks, which are made from recycled paper, are well sought after products too, although the price is a bit on the high side. Their kitchenware section displays some of their most beautifully crafted bowls and cups made from sustainable wood, and it just gives you the urge to purchase them all.

The quality of their clothing is good, which makes people willing to spend a little more in exchange for beautiful yet durable clothes. Occasionally I would take a look at their food section, but it's really too costly for a small packet of chips or mints, and there are plenty of other alternatives elsewhere.

My entire pencil-case is from MUJI, from the pens and refills down to the case itself. The obsession began when the first MUJI store re-opened in Bugis some years back. I loved the simple design of the translucent pens, as well as the fact that they offered refills. I was looking for refills for environmental reasons. I still use MUJI stationery today because they are reliable, more environmentally-friendly, and I love the smoothness of the ink.

Of course, I've browsed through their clothes and home products, but I've always found them too expensive for my student budget. Besides, wearing MUJI's see-through, thin, oversized and earth-palette clothes requires an acquired taste, I think.

Snacks are also not cheap, but fun to have once in a while. Their range includes more boring chocolate items and more interesting Japanese crackers.

A great concept of Ecofriendly Japanese store

I have heard frequently about Muji, been to the store for once or a couple but did not really pay attention at how great the store is. Just yesterday, I went to one of the stores in ION Orchard and there was not much crowd in there.
Basically, what they have in-store consists of a great variety of household needs and fashion and accessories.

The household needs are created with great creativity and innovation. One of them that I saw was the comfortable seat, with nice cushion which is you can sit on with straightened legs. I tried to sit on it and it was really comfortable. It costs around $89 per seat.

Other than that, Muji also provides kitchen appliances and nice finishing and stainless steel cutleries. However, they don't come in cheap prices.

If you go to the apparel and accessories sections, you would be able to find a wide range of man's tops, socks, ladies' undergarments, cardigans, shirts, hats  and more. Each items would have different price ranges, for example some socks would range from $9-$19. But looking at the materials, I believe that the items are made of the best quality and definitely, Ecofriendly.

I am a big fan of anything to do with organization/storage ideas and MUJI has it all. My only gripe is that the price is way too steep for something made of acrylic or plastic. One tip, you can perhaps try shopping at Daiso first before visiting MUJI. Some storage containers I’ve seen at MUJI selling for $4.90, Daiso has an exact one at just $2!

The products placement at MUJI is just nice. Neat, spacious, clean and neutral is how I describe MUJI. The products are mainly in earthy tones and neutral colours. Not only do they sell storage stuff, their merchandise includes slippers, stationeries, toiletries bags, bags, clothes, tidbits, etc.

Honestly speaking, other than their storage bags and containers, I wouldn’t purchase anything else from MUJI. It’s just not worth the price. I guess those who visit MUJI are people who look for simplicity and perhaps are more green conscious. MUJI is well known for incorporating recycled materials in their products.

I don’t know about you, but every time I shop at MUJI, it gives me this sense of calm. Everyone around you seem to be taking a slow walk down the aisle, there’s no rush, no hassles and only peace

MUJI is well-loved for their premium quality Japanese products made with good craftsmanship and TLC MUJI sells clothes, bags, office stationery, craft and toys, kitchen and dining tools, home accessories, health and beauty products and electronics. Personally, I adore MUJI for their clothes, water bottles and stationery.

Clothes are MUJI are made of slow-spun thread such that apparels are soft and breathable but structured and well-tailored at the same time. They are simplistic but classic statement pieces in earthy tones. I could see myself donning MUJI clothes for a quiet day at the library, museum or cafe for instance.

Come christmas, the gifts are MUJI are simply adorable with toys, decorative ornaments and cute stationery to choose from for that thoughtful but non-over-the-top gift for your loved ones. I'd be sure to check the christmas section at MUJI every year!
