Great taste, great smell

Every time I pass by Famous Amos, I cannot help but feel lured by its aromatic scent of freshly baked cookies (there is ALWAYS this smell!), that they even label their ovens with a sign "free smells", clearly a good ploy to "seduce" people into purchasing their cookies. If you give in to temptation, there are no regrets, however, as the cookies taste just as good as they smell (or even better). On top of the wide variety they offer you, all their cookies are simply to-die-for. Every flavor gives you a whole different experience that yet leaves you with the same lasting and satisfying impression. Their cookies are so perfectly baked that they are crunchy yet melt-in-the-mouth.

If you get the chocolate chips, they taste like high-quality ingredients and certainly makes you feel like your money was worth the "top grade" chocolate. If you get the one with macadamias, you will find its crunchiness perfectly complimenting the excellent cookie.

Overall, Famous Amos has the best cookies ever.

I don't eat cookies that often but I always like the cookies from Famous Amos. They sell really nice cookies that are of bite size so it is easier to consume when you are on the go. Other than the normal cookies they sell, they also sell cookies that are shaped like a lollipop which are on a stick. These can be given to friends or family members as a present as it is in a nice design.

Since these cookies are made on the spot, it is really fresh and you do not have to worry that they are the cookies not sold from yesterday. The price may be a little more expensive compared to other cookies sold at other places but the taste is worth the price.

Famous Amos 's baked goodies are just one of my favourites ! Be it their cookies, their muffins and their brownies, oh my gosh, they are all such a delight! I have no idea what they did to the batter but to me, their baked goodies have this distinctive taste that totally differs from the others. It almost seem as though that they are ''branded products". I mean not only they taste excellent, they are actually quite pricey and for that, I usually get the smallest pack which is at 100g and it costs me around $5 ? Nevertheless, I think its worth every penny!

The usual choices for me would normally be the Chocolate Chip and Pecan Bite-Size Cookies as well as the Rocky Road Chocolate Muffin or Chocolate Chip Brownie with Macadamia Nut. The Chocolate Chip and Pecan bite-sized cookies are just simply rich and sweet. Oh, and yes, definitely, crunchy! The Rocky Road Chocolate Muffin is basically a huge chocolaty muffin with toasted walnuts as toppings and they are so moist ! It is rather filling, so I guess its best if you share it with someone because you won't be able to finish it by yourself. Last but not least, the Chocolate Chip Brownie with Macadamia Nut, a little clingy on the tongue, suitable for all the chocolate lovers out there. Rich with chocolate, you can literally feel the chocolate melt in your mouth and the Macadamia Nuts add the perfect crunch to the brownies with every bite. Simply, scrumptious in satisfying your sweet tooth! A must try !

I have a confession - I cannot resist Famous Amos cookies! whenever I take a bite of their super-crunchy Macadamia Cookies, I cannot help but feel my utmost gratitude to the person who first invented this recipe which has mesmerized cookie-lovers all the world over.

Their cookies are the crunchiest I've known, and every single cookie flavour of theirs is simply the best! I don't know how they do it, and I'm hoping they never stop, but the taste and aroma combine to create an unbeatable snack! Suitable for all occasions, or even as gifts, these cookies have a knack of munching their way to your heart!

They're a little pricey, though, and their prices have been steadily increasing over the years. This is one of their few drawbacks. But the fact that they're still going strong in Singapore can only mean that there're no shortage of people for those delightful little munchies!

lovely but very heath cookies and brownies
Overall Score

Lovely cookies and brownies are sold at Famous Amos. The brownies are customizable, and they make unique replacements for birthday cakes.

My usual pack of freshly baked cookies would be a mix of macadamia chocolate chip cookies and macadamia white chocolate chip cookies. Although I am rarely able to tell the difference between both flavours after the mixture, since the cookie and macadamia taste covers the chocolate taste, but the feeling of having the mixture makes me feel satisfied of eating both chocolate flavours.

My friends gave me a brownie, replacing the cake, for one of my birthdays. They drew a cute face, using sweetened cream, on it. It was an interesting and memorable birthday cake, and we all enjoyed the brownie for desert too.

The cookies and brownies are quite sweet, and are not suited for those who are not fans of sweet snacks. They are rather heaty as well, and it is advisable to drink lots of cooling water after eating them. At the various Famous Amos outlets, there is rarely a queue, perhaps due to the price of the items as they are a little expensive. And I will only treat myself to this snack, once awhile, treating it like comfort food for some unhappiness that has happened.

Famous Amos has been around for many years and I believe I can say that it has one of the best chocolate chip cookies around. Every time I pass by their outlets, I smell the cookies and get tempted to look but I stay away because of the price. Even the smallest packet is considered expensive.

My favourite flavour is the chocolate chip with macadamia and recently I have also tried the butterscotch chip with pecan. Both are delicious, sweet and crunchy with lots of melted chocolate chips that is oh-so-good. The cookies are always fresh and the standard has never dropped.

After eating one, you would want a second piece and one packet is never enough. I can just eat this the whole day. Of course, it is heaty and might cause a sore throat easily. I do not really buy this as the price does not substantiate the amount. However, I sometimes get the ready made and sealed packets at the supermarket which is not as good but is a cheaper alternative to satisfy my cravings.

My all-time favorite cookies. If you haven't tried Famous Amos, you will never get famous. Kidding! But really, try it! You won't regret it. The smell is already promising enough. Your nose will not lie.
I often get their cookies almost every single time I walk past the store. I blame the free smell and my weak resistance towards temptations. I get the smallest pack (100g) though, since their cookies aren't exactly cheap or average priced. Its quite expensive for 100g of cookies but I must say that the price is worth it! I enjoy every single bite of it and I get disappointed when I finish my last cookie.

My favorite would be the white chocolate macadamia cookie and the original chocolate chip cookie. Prices vary a little across the different varieties but nothing too wide. If you are craving for a muffin, Famous Amos sells them too. I haven't tried the muffins but it looks very chocolatey to me, I hope it isn't brown coloring though. It looks so delish and promising. If you are looking for something to give to your loved ones, specially packaged cookies are also available for sale. Customized cookies (you can replace the traditional birthday cake with a huge cookie!) are also available! Just be sure to order in advance.

Famous Amos cookies are, as the name suggests, famous; famous for its delectable taste, rich chocolate scent, as well as its relatively high price. The cookies are crunchier than other cookies, relatively hard, but nevertheless delicious. Their double chocolate chip is a must-try for chocolate lovers, because they are generous with the chocolates. The chocolate with macadamia nuts is a perfect mix between the chocolates and nuts, making the taste of the cookie more balanced and not as inclined towards the sweet side.

If you have seen the packet of cookies sold in snack shops or supermarkets, the taste of the freshly baked cookies are very different from the packed ones. The cookies are best eaten fresh, even if they are not warm. It is as if freshness itself is a taste that we are able to feel. The packed ones do not taste as nice, but that is probably the reason why it is much more affordable.

As you might have seen, the price of 100g ranges from about $6-8, which is considered to be relatively expensive for that amount. However, as an occasional indulgence, it is definitely worth the price. Be prepared to spend more, as it is hard to stop yourself from wanting more!

One of the many Famous Amos’ branches in Singapore, probably the one that gave the deepest impression was the branch along the walkway in Wisma Atria, whereby the little cookie stall had this delectable rich and thick chocolate-y aroma that seeped into the passerbys respiratory passageway. It has a wide variety of small cookies and brownies, which often we ended up making hard decisions on which ones to get.

I joined the queue and one of their staff was really polite with my orders at the counter. Though the cookies might be on the higher end of the price tag as compared to other eateries and restaurants which provided a selection of their signature cookies, the taste was great, but it wasn’t what I have expected from the aroma that I’ve detected- rich, thick and chocolate-y. It is definitely different from those ready-packed Famous Amos cookies lying on the shelves of the supermarkets; it’s freshly baked and hot from the oven.

The price of a few pieces of cookies for 100g might be a put off for those who think that it might be bit expensive. Yes it is, and there are far better cookies than Famous Amos in Singapore. I hope that Famous Amos’ could be able to ensure that they are affordably priced in the future.

Whenever I walk past Famous Amos, the aroma always flow into my nasal passage and send a message to my brain, which is telling me to buy some before leaving. I heed the advice and walk to the counter with my friends. The service crews are polite and waited patiently for my order. I've chosen chocolate with macadamia nuts. When I receive my cookies, I can feel it is still slightly warm, this is how fresh the cookies are. The crunch from the cookies and the taste of chocolate makes me so happy. I can't tell the texture of the nuts as the bits are quite small and disappear quickly inside my mouth.

After three pieces, I got sick of it and stopped eating it. Probably I felt too heaty while having the cookies and I don't wish to get a sore throat from my indulgence. If the cookies are less sweetened, I will be able to pop in more pieces into my mouth. Overall, it is definitely worthy to buy a packet of 100g and share it among friends. If only the price can be lowered then everything will be perfect.
