This coffee house is open 24 hours daily. And it is often packed and crowded with people. Often, it is full-house during the late-night, if you were to eat there, and you have to sit in the back-alley of the shop. If you are a diner who minds service, ambience and good quality, this is not the place for you. They do serve a huge variety of food ranging from ‘dim sum’ to other cooked foods. I had dined at this place for two times this year and their food was not up to standard.
I had tried their ‘dim sum’, ‘prawn-paste chicken’ and noodles. Among which that I feel was not tasty and nice at all was their ‘Char-Siew pastry’, ‘Siew Mai’, and noodles. For their pastery, you can taste that it is not freshly prepared instead of hot and crispy, their filling is not even half of the pastry. Moving on to their ‘Siew Mai’ dim sum, the skin is soggy not properly wrapped, and you can barely taste their prawn. For their noodles, even though it is hand-made noodles, their soup tend to be too salty, and noodles not springy.
If I were to choose dining at a coffee house in the middle of the night, I would rather dine at ‘126 Eating House’ in Geylang as it is cheaper and more value-for-money.
