Prior to going here, I googled it and one thing that stood out from all the reviews I read was that they unanimously agreed that the ambience at this place left much to be desired. I went in thinking that it was gonna be hot, dirty, and just generally unappealing... that wasn't the case at all.

Temperature-wise was just about fine. You do get some heat from the BBQ but they have big fans spaced out amongst the tables. The place wasn't dirty either, from what I could see.

No complaints about the food. I especially loved the lettuce which looked really good - fresh and green and clean. Wrapping my meat in the lettuce made me feel better about stuffing myself with all that food haha. At least I'm getting some fibre out of it, right?

Service was good as well. The ladies working there were friendly and checked on us periodically and helped us change our aluminium foil if necessary.

Would come back here again if I have a craving for buffet/BBQ - korean bbq is so much better than thai (mookata), just because it's so much easier to cook!

Korean BBQ is one of my comfort food, so when my friend suggested trying this place out, I agreed immediately. 2D1N Soju Bang seems to be an extremely popular place for both youngsters and office people, as I found out while queuing to get a table. Do note that there are queues every day at dinner time, so try to go as early as possible before the crowd forms.

The variety of food here isn't very wide, but the different types of meat are well-stocked, unlike some other buffet restaurants which take very long to restock their empty containers. Also, the service of the place here is extremely good. The staff respond quickly to our requests and change the grill pans promptly without needing us to remind them.

The taste of the food is quite decent, especially the marinated beef and pork. We couldn't stop ourselves from piling stacks of meat, and finishing them off quickly. Oh the calories! But it was well worth it. The only downside of the place is that the place isn't very well-ventilated, so all of us end up smelling exactly like the place itself after we're done.

I have heard so many positive reviews about 2D1N and finally got to try it out few weeks ago. Despite the long queue, it was definitely worth it.

At only about 20+ per pax, you get to try a huge variety of food. There is beef, lamb, pork and chicken and each is nicely marinated in BBQ sauce, spicy sauce etc. The pork belly is the popular choice among me and my friends, and we love to wrap it with the cabbage so that it wouldn’t taste too oily. In addition to the grilled stuff, there is also a huge selection of cooked food like chicken wings and glass noodles. For the health conscious, you can also keep changing the aluminum sheets and their service is not too bad!

The only thing that I can pick on is the heat. Because it is so crowded, the space is really small and cramp. And if you are sitting near the stove, you can literally sweat out there. Overall, it is definitely a must visit for buffet lovers!

I tried out 2D1N due to its hype. Wanting to secure a table, we arrived 20 minutes before the opening time for dinner and were surprised to find that there was already a short queue formed. This place better be super.

The variety of food was a-okay — I loved the flavourful beef (I think they do serve the best marinated beef), but I found better tasting chicken in other Korean BBQ places. The service was straightforward. The poor ventilation is a dire situation to be addressed. I was so happy to finally leave the restaurant, only to find that I stink. All in all I found the restaurant to be slightly overrated.

This was a place I’ve been dying to patronize for the longest time, and I finally went there last night. There is room for improvement, but for $20++, I couldn’t have asked for more.

What I didn’t like was how confusing the place is. 2D1N has two floors, (A-la-carte on the first and buffet on the second) which seem to work almost independently from each other, and it was only after much instruction that we realized that we had to write our names on the waiting list on our own! It definitely got off to a messy start. When we finally got a table, we found a little plate placed atop the grill and didn’t understand what it was for. Luckily, we had a friend who had done this before, and we found out that you’re supposed to put the plate below the grill to collect the excess fat. Again, I was quite disappointed that no explanation was given to us. Do they assume that everyone is just born with this “basic” knowledge!?

Aside from that, the buffet line was glorious. The very skeptical people I dragged along were just as shock as I was at how good the marinades were (this place blows Seoul Garden out of the waters!). The staff was also very efficient when it came to changing our aluminum foil lining the grill ensuring that our meat hardly ever tasted burnt. I would highly suggest that you grill the straw mushrooms along with meat. Those babies suck up the fat/marinade so well you might cry taking your first bite. Can’t wait for my next trip back!

Best Korean BBQ ever.

This is definitely the place for meat (especially beef) and barbecue lovers, and one of the best places to have dinner at if you're dining with a huge group of friends. Well, it is at least a novel alternative to steamboat dinners. However, the atmosphere can get pretty rowdy, so I wouldn't recommend this place at all if you would prefer to chat over a quiet dinner with a few friends. It gets a tad too noisy when the place is packed and you may even have to raise your voice talking to someone at your own table. Also, it can get discomfortingly hot and stuffy in there, so if you come with the intent of pigging out to your heart's content, be prepared to sweat like a pig too.

It's actually pretty hard to get a place, especially if you come with a large group, so be prepared to start queuing early (preferably before the place opens, if you want to get a seat early).

As for the food, as much as I detest Korean food and barbecues in general, I must admit that 2D1N is potentially the best Korean BBQ I've dined at. So its reputation is well-deserved. They serve a variety of marinated sliced meats to which we helped ourselves plenty, particularly their beef bulgogi, which had amazing flavour, and tastes even better cooked to the right level of doneness (which you will learn to gauge for yourselves). The beef bulgogi is great eaten on its own, for those who want to savour every nuance of the meat's flavour, but I personally think it's even better eaten with fresh lettuce and some rice (which, I'm told, is Korean style) because you get a delightful contrast of flavours and textures -- the crunch and simple, clean flavour of fresh lettuce against the tender succulence and rich flavours of the meat.

A must-try for all fans of Korean BBQ.

2D1N is definitely one of the best Korean BBQ places I have ever been in Singapore. I specially love their marinated beef slices also know as beef bulgogi. You can eat it like how Koreans do - roll up the grilled bulgogi in leafy lettuces with a small scoop of rice and place it into your mouth. It brings the entire Korean BBQ experience to a whole new level. Unlike other BBQ places where the display of their raw meat attracts flies and pests, 2D1N has excellent hygiene in my opinion.

However, one downside of this Korean BBQ place is that it is poorly ventilated. With small windows only at the side of the restaurant, be prepared to smell of BBQ meat and smoke after eating. Other than that, this is a must go for all BBQ fanatics.

Do go early before the buffet starts, as there will most probably be a queue. It's a popular place as the price is reasonable for the amount and variety of meat they serve. Also, there's the sweet rice drink (shikhye) available! Sadly, when I went there on a Sunday night, it was out of stock.

The staff would change the aluminium foil on the hot plate frequently, making sure that there wouldn't be much charred pieces left on it. Compared to other bbq buffet joints, where it's difficult to get the staff to help, they're autonomous and come even before you call them. The hot plate is tilted, so the oil from all the meat drips out, which doesn't make it too oily. The place is rather warm, so dress cool. You'll definitely leave this place smelling like BBQ, but it's worth it. Besides just eating, get a few bottles of soju too! It goes well with all the meat you'll be eating. If soju is too strong, get a bottle of beer and mix with some soju shots. It's a refreshing drink.

Oh, good luck if you're going in a big group. A group of 6 got squeezed into a tight table for 4, and it made BBQing and eating a little uncomfortable. But it's alright when there's all that food to distract you from it!

For a regular buffet spot, they are really attentive with great service. My friend had some difficulty in refilling the water bottles placed at our table and the service staff readily offered his help and replaced our bottle with a full one, and bigger too (so that we wouldnt have to keep going over to the refilling area)

I like how they have the meat in large pieces as it helps to retain the juices, because i've always felt that the small slivers of meat tend to dry out quickly while grilling. Also, the fresh lettuce that they provide really do allow you to dine like how koreans do, to wrap the grilled meat in the lettuce to prevent the meal from getting too heavy. The slanted grill also helps the oil to flow off, making the meal lighter compared to other grilled meat buffets.

I really like how they flavour their food, with the meat properly marinated and the flavour of the seasoning all the way through the meat. They also have other authentic korean soups and dishes, which was done really well.

Go early, if not, its almost impossible to get a table during dinner hours

There is no escaping the Hallyu Wave. The Korean craze has swept everybody up one way or another and with the recent popping up of so many Korean BBQ eateries, korean cuisine has become more available than ever.

This is arguably the most economical BBQ buffet there is out there. There is a wide selection of meat and sides which all taste pretty decent (and nicely marinated) although you will not get the very tender or high quality beef. Considering the price however, this is a steal. For all your carnivores out there, this place should not be missed. Free flow of korean sweet rice drinks are available to soothe your throats are rounds of sinful 'heaty' food.

I would definitely recommend you try this at least once but it does get crazily packed at night so do go there early! You can make reservations although I have heard plenty of complaints about the reservations getting mixed up or miscommunication happening. The waiters will clear your plates once in a while and change the foil on the grill but don't expect good service, hardly any of the staff smiles or speaks even (maybe they're Koreans, I'm not sure).

A word of caution, it will get very very hot and stuff inside the restaurant so shave off the layers of clothes and keep it simple to shirt and shorts. The noise is expected with the crowd but it's not too bad. Overall, this is still a great choice for inexpensive decent Korean BBQ you can eat to your hearts content.
