It is perpetually crowded and there is always a queue outside as no reservation is allowed for the buffet dinner. The place is cramped and hot and stuff and noisy and smokey, BUT, the food makes it all worth it.

There may not be a large variety of meat available, but the quality of meat and the tastiness of the food available is amazing. It makes leaving the restaurant with a layer of oil on your face extremely worth it.

They even provide febreeze at the stairs for you to get rid of the bbq smell on your shirt.

I always go to 2d1n for the buffet dinner when I have a craving for korean food. You can eat all you want for just $20+, which makes it worthwhile as you can eat your fill, stuff yourselves with all the delicious meat; pork collar, pork belly, marinated chicken etc! There are other food as well, but I normally just stuff myself full with meat as it kind of lets me feel good about getting my money's worth.

It is best to reach there around half an hour earlier before its opening hours( 5:30pm) to secure your place in the restaurant as there are normally quite a lot of groups of people queuing by then. If you reached at about 6, normally the restaurant will be filled to the brim and you will have to wait for an hour or so for a space in the restaurant, especially if you are with a big group of friends.

I will advise against specially wearing nice clothing to eat there as the place is really oily and once you stepped out of the restaurant, your clothes will reek of the barbecue smell. It is really hot and stuffy in there too, thus sitting near a window seat will actually helps. If you are not too fussy about the atmosphere and are really hungry and want good food, I would recommend this restaurant.

This was a place I’ve been dying to patronize for the longest time, and I finally went there last night. There is room for improvement, but for $20++, I couldn’t have asked for more.

What I didn’t like was how confusing the place is. 2D1N has two floors, (A-la-carte on the first and buffet on the second) which seem to work almost independently from each other, and it was only after much instruction that we realized that we had to write our names on the waiting list on our own! It definitely got off to a messy start. When we finally got a table, we found a little plate placed atop the grill and didn’t understand what it was for. Luckily, we had a friend who had done this before, and we found out that you’re supposed to put the plate below the grill to collect the excess fat. Again, I was quite disappointed that no explanation was given to us. Do they assume that everyone is just born with this “basic” knowledge!?

Aside from that, the buffet line was glorious. The very skeptical people I dragged along were just as shock as I was at how good the marinades were (this place blows Seoul Garden out of the waters!). The staff was also very efficient when it came to changing our aluminum foil lining the grill ensuring that our meat hardly ever tasted burnt. I would highly suggest that you grill the straw mushrooms along with meat. Those babies suck up the fat/marinade so well you might cry taking your first bite. Can’t wait for my next trip back!

2D1N is definitely one of the best Korean BBQ places I have ever been in Singapore. I specially love their marinated beef slices also know as beef bulgogi. You can eat it like how Koreans do - roll up the grilled bulgogi in leafy lettuces with a small scoop of rice and place it into your mouth. It brings the entire Korean BBQ experience to a whole new level. Unlike other BBQ places where the display of their raw meat attracts flies and pests, 2D1N has excellent hygiene in my opinion.

However, one downside of this Korean BBQ place is that it is poorly ventilated. With small windows only at the side of the restaurant, be prepared to smell of BBQ meat and smoke after eating. Other than that, this is a must go for all BBQ fanatics.

There is no escaping the Hallyu Wave. The Korean craze has swept everybody up one way or another and with the recent popping up of so many Korean BBQ eateries, korean cuisine has become more available than ever.

This is arguably the most economical BBQ buffet there is out there. There is a wide selection of meat and sides which all taste pretty decent (and nicely marinated) although you will not get the very tender or high quality beef. Considering the price however, this is a steal. For all your carnivores out there, this place should not be missed. Free flow of korean sweet rice drinks are available to soothe your throats are rounds of sinful 'heaty' food.

I would definitely recommend you try this at least once but it does get crazily packed at night so do go there early! You can make reservations although I have heard plenty of complaints about the reservations getting mixed up or miscommunication happening. The waiters will clear your plates once in a while and change the foil on the grill but don't expect good service, hardly any of the staff smiles or speaks even (maybe they're Koreans, I'm not sure).

A word of caution, it will get very very hot and stuff inside the restaurant so shave off the layers of clothes and keep it simple to shirt and shorts. The noise is expected with the crowd but it's not too bad. Overall, this is still a great choice for inexpensive decent Korean BBQ you can eat to your hearts content.

Much like their celebrities.

It was a friend's birthday and I had no say on the restaurant matter so I sucked it up and followed them into this place. There were no queue, contrary to the reviews I've read about this place. It was fairly empty and we got seated.

Maybe it's my useless stomach (I got full after eating 4 pieces of bacon-thing) that led to my low enjoyment rate but I thought this place was normal.

They had a lot of meat and my friends taught me how to bbq a bacon slice, then wrap it around a hot dog for maximum cholesterol damage. And it was not bad, but still only mediocre.

The drinks are limited and the desserts was just fruits. I was grumbling about my $20++ buffet amount towards the end. The bbq smell on my shirt was a souvenir of my lost cause.

Not coming back.

Deliciously affordable korean bbq food! I always recommend this place to friends who ask me where can they find a good korean bbq buffet restaurant to dine in. They offer a wide range of meet from beef, pork, chicken, different parts of pork, prawns, mussels, kimchi soup and veggies. The only thing not free flow are the drinks. At about $22+ you're paying for mouth watering seasoned meats and seafood. It is super worth it!

They have a screen which plays korean mtvs but as the restaurant is always crowded with a queue, it is slightly too noisy to hear the mtvs. Be prepared for your clothes and hair to smell like bbq smoke as the ventilation is not very good and it became stuffy and hot after awhile as we had to face the hot pan all the time. I hope their improve it to becoming a smokeless bbq like the one at bras brasah.

Prior to going here, I googled it and one thing that stood out from all the reviews I read was that they unanimously agreed that the ambience at this place left much to be desired. I went in thinking that it was gonna be hot, dirty, and just generally unappealing... that wasn't the case at all.

Temperature-wise was just about fine. You do get some heat from the BBQ but they have big fans spaced out amongst the tables. The place wasn't dirty either, from what I could see.

No complaints about the food. I especially loved the lettuce which looked really good - fresh and green and clean. Wrapping my meat in the lettuce made me feel better about stuffing myself with all that food haha. At least I'm getting some fibre out of it, right?

Service was good as well. The ladies working there were friendly and checked on us periodically and helped us change our aluminium foil if necessary.

Would come back here again if I have a craving for buffet/BBQ - korean bbq is so much better than thai (mookata), just because it's so much easier to cook!

For a regular buffet spot, they are really attentive with great service. My friend had some difficulty in refilling the water bottles placed at our table and the service staff readily offered his help and replaced our bottle with a full one, and bigger too (so that we wouldnt have to keep going over to the refilling area)

I like how they have the meat in large pieces as it helps to retain the juices, because i've always felt that the small slivers of meat tend to dry out quickly while grilling. Also, the fresh lettuce that they provide really do allow you to dine like how koreans do, to wrap the grilled meat in the lettuce to prevent the meal from getting too heavy. The slanted grill also helps the oil to flow off, making the meal lighter compared to other grilled meat buffets.

I really like how they flavour their food, with the meat properly marinated and the flavour of the seasoning all the way through the meat. They also have other authentic korean soups and dishes, which was done really well.

Go early, if not, its almost impossible to get a table during dinner hours

2d1n Soju Bang would be one of my most frequent visited BBQ buffet restaurant in Singapore. Their buffet price is affordable (approximately $20/pax). Not only that, they have a lot kinds of meat for you to choose from.

Some of the favorite meat that I liked most would be their pork belly and beef steak. The meat that they have on the buffet line is fresher than other Korean BBQ buffet, as I believe that their turnover is fast. Not only do they have meat, they also do have Korean rice, seaweed soup and a lot other for you to have.

The down-side of this restaurant is that for the buffet side, it is not air-conditioned but rather warm as you are barbequing in a shop-house, with the windows opened. They do have fan placed around the shop-house to ventilate the area, at least it helps to prevent it from being too warm. Also, all the staffs are Korean. There might be a bit of language barrier between you and them.

On weekends and public holiday, if you are planning to dine there, be expected to wait for approximately 45 minutes to get your table, as it is often full-house. So if you wouldn't like to queue, it'd be better to reach at 5+ to avoid having a long wait for your table.

Thus place is worth dining in if you don't mind dining in a warm but a value-for-money buffet!
