Steadily gaining fans and party-goers every year, the turnout at ZoukOut this year promises to be exceptional. After all, there is something to celebrate – the success of the #SaveZouk campaign. As regular partygoers know, there was a scare this year when Zouk announced that its lease was expiring at the end of the year. However, a petition and 39,000 signatures later, it was announced that the lease was extended.
ZoukOut is the largest and most notable outdoor dance and music festival in South East Asia, and this year’s incarnation attracted world-renowned DJs Steve Aoki, Martin Garrix, Nicky Romero who will headline the event. And while good music is always to be celebrated, no party truly starts without the booze.
Heineken is ZoukOut’s official beer sponsor for the second year running, and they are continuing with their campaign to promote responsible drinking. In 2013, Heineken collaborated with Zouk to come up with the award-winning “Sunrise” stunt to reward party-goers who had lasted through the night.
Since the geographical location of Siloso Beach makes it impossible for revellers to catch the sunrise, Heineken took matters into their own hands – they created an artificial “sun”, which the accumulated dance steps of the dancers would “power” and eventually launch into the sky.
This year, Heineken aims to reward and motivate people who make it to the “finish line” – first light. What’s the reward is has been kept under wraps, but judging from the spectacular Sunrise last year, chances are that we won’t be disappointed.
What we do know is that fans who share their photos on social media with the hashtags #SeeYouAtFirstLight and #HeinekenSG can redeem water to stay hydrated as well as limited edition Heineken rewards!
Of course, no event is complete without photo opportunities, so Heineken is taking the opportunity to debut the Heineken Limelight Podium! Set at the best vantage point with the illuminated stage in full view for the most photogenic ZoukOut shots possible, the photos are also marked with time-stamped spots for you to track your journey – and various stages of insobriety – throughout the festival.
Come on down with your friends and see who will make it through 12 hours of non-stop dancing at Zoukout 2014 and see what this year’s surprise is! If you have yet to get your tickets, one lucky fan will be getting a Heineken VIP experience with a friend, including access to the Heineken hospitality tent, and limited edition Heineken Survival kits. More details about the competition can be found at their official Facebook page.
You can get your tickets here or on the day itself at the event venue. Zoukout 2014 will be held on the 12 and 13 December, at Siloso Beach, Sentosa.
