This Women-Only Spa In SG Looks Straight Out Of A Period Drama & Offers A Hanfu Photoshoot Experience

Yagyo Haven – Chinese spa located in Bugis

Taking a self-care break is an important part of our routines, and there are many spas in Singapore that promise a good dose of pampering. But this new Chinese spa at Bugis, Yagyo Haven, goes one step further.

The women-only spot isn’t just a place to unwind with a massage – it also offers cultural experiences in hopes of bringing authentic Chinese wellness practices to Singapore.

At Yagyo Haven, you’ll feel like you’ve been transported to a period C-drama, thanks to traditional Chinese architecture, which doubles as a beautiful backdrop for photos.

The spa also offers Hanfu costume rental, and make-up, hair styling, and photography services that’ll make you feel like a princess for a day.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a spa without some rejuvenating massages. They offer a range of head, shoulder, facial, and full-body treatments that promote healing, using traditional Chinese herbs and techniques.

Since it’s a women-only spa, Yagyo Haven has also curated its services to target feminine health needs, such as hormonal imbalances, menstrual pain, and post-partum recovery.

What are the main spa services available at Yagyo Haven?

Princess Head Spa

One of Yagyo Haven’s signature services is the Princess Head Spa ($90), which makes use of the Royal Scalp Ritual – a curated process that stems from old Chinese practices for the royal family. Using different Chinese herbs, the treatment detoxifies the hair and scalp while stimulating blood flow for healthy hair growth.

With regular sessions, it’s said to improve sleep, reduce headaches, and strengthen hair roots. It’s suitable for anyone battling stress, insomnia, or scalp issues.

Ginger Ritual

Another signature therapy is Ginger Ritual ($98). It starts with a 40-minute Royal Herbal Wrap Technique that warms the body and has a restorative effect. Next is a deep detoxifying massage using various herbs, including premium highland yellow ginger, which expels coldness, wind, and other impurities from the body.

Some of the benefits of this treatment include reducing menstrual discomfort, maintaining hormonal balance, and speeding up post-partum recovery.
