We’re all geeks in our own way but if collectible items are what get you bouncing off the walls, you’re in for a treat. XM Studios, a local design studio for collectibles, has just opened a new 19,000sq. ft flagship store, with premium collections of prized statues and collectibles on display and on sale; complete with an in-house gelato cafe to chill at.
No matter if you’re a fan of DC or Marvel, you’ll find unique collectibles here to admire. With more than 300 products on the shelves, fans of Transformers, Sanrio and Warner Bros will also not be disappointed either.

XM Studios may be new to those not yet knee-deep into figurine addiction. The store has roots that date back to Bras Basah in 1997, and was officially founded by Singaporean comic book fan Ben Ang in 2012.
Fast forward a few years and it’s now a booming business with fans from all over the world, with Intellectual Property licences for movie franchises from Marvel to Harry Potter under its belt. Talk about a local success story.

At their first flagship store, fans and newcomers alike can expect themed rooms filled with a myriad of figurines of popular movie and comic characters. Huge fan of Iron Man, Spiderman and Captain America? You’ll be able to get up close and personal with the displays here in the Marvel “pod”.

A sucker for Harley Quinn instead? You’ll find her, The Joker and Batman in a neon-embellished DC room. Optimus Prime and Megatron can be found in a separate space dedicated to Transformers.

While the space easily brings to mind an exclusive museum, entry is free so you can head in there and wonder at the works of art without having to fork out a single cent. For those who’d like to take some of the exquisite figurines home, they’re available for pre-order. Just brace yourself for the price tag – most are priced in the thousands!
Also check out the display of Marvel comic characters like Thanos, Hulk and Red Skull at their glass display wall.

There’s possibly nothing that hits the spot quite like a “museum” + cafe date. While you have a think about taking a snazzy new figurine home for display, rest your legs at their recently opened in-house artisanal gelato house, 99 Coffee and Gelato.
Ice cream flavours include Ricotta & Lime Curd and Coconut Pineapple

Quirky flavours of ice cream (from $6/scoop) are on the menu, alongside coffee to wash things down.
Rain or shine, XM Studios’ new flagship store is a fun and quirky space to visit for your next outing with friends and the fam. From now till the end of April 2022, there will also be a Puma and Culture Cartel pop-up featuring themed apparel and sneakers.
