There’s no denying that we Singaporeans love going to JB. To make full use of our time there, some of us would choose to stay over at an Airbnb or chalet so that we can enjoy activities in the morning without having to drag ourselves out of bed to cross the causeway.
For an affordable and conveniently located place to stay, Chalet at X Park Iskandar Puteri can be your next go-to accommodation when spending the night over in JB.
The current exchange rate is S$1 = ~RM3.21 as of 30th September 2024.
Located inside X Park at Iskandar Puteri, X Chalet is less than a 30-minute drive from both Tuas and Woodlands checkpoints. Nearby, there are tons of offerings for both families and friend groups. Just 1.5km away is Sunway Big Box Retail Park Mall which has an indoor activity park, EnerG X Park, plus food options like Mr. Dakgalbi and Miyakori Coffee.
For young children or Lego enthusiasts, Legoland Malaysia is only 4km away.
At X Park Iskandar Puteri Chalet, the check-in and checkout timings follow the standard 3pm and 12pm respectively. Upon arrival, don’t be alarmed when asked for an RM100 damage deposit that’ll be returned to you during checkout.
Whether you are on a couples getaway, family trip, or besties outing, X Chalet is bound to have a room suitable for you. With 40 chalets available, you can either get the family chalet (RM800/night) with a garden view available for up to 8 people or the standard chalet (RM240/night) that fits 2 people with various options of scenery or even a balcony.
The chalets all emulate nature villas with their wooden interior, furniture, and especially the wallpaper designed with trees. It almost makes it look like you are living in the woods.
At X Park, you’ll be spoiled for choice with their whopping selection of 17 activities to choose from. To catch some cool views, hop on the swan boat ride for RM20/30mins per boat. For thrilling activities, there are ATV rides (from RM40), high ropes (from RM45), and go-karting (RM70).
As for sports, you can play badminton (from RM20), golf (from RM15/100balls), futsal (from RM90), and even bubbleball futsal for RM380/hr or RM700/2hrs for up to 10 people.
After an activity-filled day, dine at the floating restaurant, LS X Park Restaurant, where you can enjoy pork-free Chinese cuisine while taking in the view of the lake. For seafood lovers, there’s a bunch of fresh seafood options here like prawns or crabs if you’re feeling fancy.
Right by the chalets there’s Cartboy Coffee, opened by 23-year-old Zahirulhaque whose dream was to open his own cafe. This cafe within nature has cosy lepak corners and opens late into the night, making it the perfect spot to chill or grab supper from. They sell drinks like Strawberry Matcha (RM14), and French Vanilla Latte (RM11), but also have food options like tacos and pastries.
