Songkran Festival Is Returning To Wild Wild Wet With Water Guns Battles & Target Shooting In Shiok River

Wild Wild Wet Songkran 2021

Thailand has much for us to love from pad thai, tom yum and green curry to their exciting annual water festival of Songkran. Wild Wild Wet brought it into Singapore as a massive one-night-only water party for the first time in 2019, and we’re glad to hear that the splashing festival is making a return this year, making the travel ban that much less of a bummer.

From 1st – 30th April 2021, expect the following, topped with EDM soundtracks to amp up the atmosphere:

Water gun battles, spinning target boards & tuk-tuks

A usual trip to Wild Wild Wet may usually involve a swimsuit, sunscreen and maybe a pair of goggles. But come Songkran season this April, be sure to pack the most powerful water guns you have with you.

You’ll need it for the water gun battles that’ll be happening every day from 3PM-5PM. With staff roaming around spewing water everywhere, you’ll want to be armed with something good to deliver some sprays in return!

The fun doesn’t end there – during the rest of the day, their Shiok River will also be converted into a spinning target shooting arena. It’ll be great if you have your own water guns to show your marksmanship here – but no worries even if you don’t have one as there will be 50 water guns distributed at the entry point of the arena on a first-come-first-serve basis. These will be collected back upon exiting.

Not many details have been revealed about the full range of activities but we hear there’ll also be a giant Super Soaker water gun targeting unsuspecting park-goers, so remember to keep a keen eye out for it. Decor that will pepper the area include actual tuk-tuk rickshaws and Thai-themed photos ops.

For a break from the heat, there’ll also be refreshments served at the Ola Beach Club booth with icy-cold cups of Thai milk tea, alongside other Thai snacks and beverages.
