With only a few months left till the year ends, you won’t want to miss out on any more festive fun in 2023. Apart from the big holidays, we’ve got a number of celebrations coming up including National Day and Halloween. To celebrate its 25th anniversary, West Mall has thrown some exciting stuff in the mix – non-stop activities for the kids and exclusive PEANUTS collectables for the family.
West Mall is setting up giant play areas, conducting DIY workshops, and organising a trick-or-treat for the kiddos. So, it’s a no-brainer to bring the fam bam here. Here’s everything you need to know about what’s going on from now till 29th October:
Aside from attending the parade and watching NDP fireworks, bring the kids down to West Mall for a very Singaporean experience – army life. Reload! By AlphaKidX is a BMT simulation for children where they get to gear up as a recruit and have a go at becoming ah boys and ah girls.
We’re talking about activities like the Standard Obstacle Course (SOC), leopard crawl obstacles, laser shooting, and even planning combat rations – almost like the real thing. The event only runs for 2 weeks so you’ve got limited time to see your youngins all dressed up and in action.
2 other designs can be collected by completing missions at the Singapore Discovery Centre and Singapore Navy Museum.
Plus, each participant will receive a free goodie bag consisting of a care pack, Swensen’s vouchers, and Sunshine bread. And those who complete the course will be rewarded with a limited edition gold coin enamel pin which is only available till 13th August.
If you happen to be there on National Day afternoon itself, you might spot some volunteers and kids from Club Rainbow (Singapore) too. The mall has also made a donation to the non-profit organisation.

Think ninja warrior obstacle course but for young ones – that’s the PEANUTS Street Edition Challenge. It’s got a ball pit at the start followed by a balancing beam and hanging bars, and ends with some PEANUTS standees to pose for a quick snap.
The entire play area is also fully decked in PEANUTS-themed props and walls, so there are plenty of photo opportunities for the ‘Gram. Admission tickets go for just $5 – a total steal for the lil’ ones to have fun. Don’t forget to drop by the atrium to pick up some PEANUTS merch.

But if it’s your kid’s dream to see their fav PEANUTS cast up close, you need to catch the PEANUTS Meet & Greet session. Get ready to whip out your camera as you interact with characters like Snoopy, Charlie Brown, and Lucy. BTW, the meet-and-greet is free and only has 2 time slots in the afternoons so you’d want to have a quick lunch beforehand.

Spend $120 within 2 same-day receipts to redeem a PEANUTS towel and Street Edition Challenge entry ticket. Hit a spending of $180 in 3 same-day receipts and you get the same entry ticket, but with a PEANUTS umbrella instead.
For selected stores like Challenger and Cold Storage, double spending is required to qualify for the freebie redemption.
PEANUTS-themed towels in different designs.
These freebies come in 4 different designs which rotate every 2 weeks, so you can visit the mall again to claim another one. Just take note, though, that redemption of these freebies must be made on the same day of purchase so your receipt dates gotta match.
Claw machine chance on the West Mall Rewards app.
Meanwhile, when you spend at least $50 in a single same-day receipt, you’ll earn a chance with the claw machine. Prizes here include West Mall Rewards points and up to $10 worth of shopping vouchers.
If your birthday falls between August and October, West Mall’s got a treat for you too – a free Subway cookie that can be redeemed by flashing the birthday eVoucher that will automatically be credited to your eWallet.
Those wondering how else to occupy the kids over the weekend, you’ve now got some ideas of what to do over the next couple of months at West Mall. Give the young ones a taste of NS life, let them get crafty at the workshops, or simply let them roll around in the ball pit. And when October comes around, dress them up in the cutest Halloween costumes to go trick or treating.
