Here’s the good news – our fantasies are not as divorced from reality as we think. From now till 25 December, VivoCity is hosting its inaugural year-end event dubbed Viesta! The New York Edition 2018 – Skate Under The Moonlight. The event features a slew of fun activities for both young and old, with the highlight of them all – a 350sqm outdoor synthetic skating rink to ensure you don’t miss out on the joy of winter frolicking.
Yes, VivoCity has heard the nation’s collective FOMO on casual winter activities and have decided to come to our rescue. Inspired by the iconic rink at the Rockefeller Centre in New York, VivoCity has transformed their Outdoor Plaza into a winter wonderland under a canopy of dazzling lights.

Be treated to different music genres and exciting lights from 7pm daily.
On Movie Mondays, listen out for beloved movie soundtracks that will be sure to stir up feelings of nostalgia, like Armageddon’s “I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing”. Kpop fans can skate and dance to their favourite BTS or Twice’s songs on Kpop Tuesdays.

You can even put on your skates and groove to special themed nights!
Christmas is rife with Santa meet and greets, but it’s only in VivoCity’s Skate Under the Moonlight Event where you actually get to skate with the man himself. On 24 and 25 December, join Santa Claus and his friends on the rink and enjoy sweet treats!
You can even take selfies with Santa, his Santarinas and elves – just whip out your phones and say cheese! Don’t forget to give Santa a shoutout with the hashtag #viestaskating and #vivoskating on your IG.
Besides transporting you to New York with its outdoor skating rink, Viesta! The New York Edition 2018 – Skate Under The Moonlight also invites you to be a wide-eyed spectator of the enormous and stunning display of festive lights laced around the 8m-tall Christmas tree. The tree stands right smack in the middle of the rink so go ahead and coast around it!
