First Look At VivoCity’s New Zone – Expanded Stretch Of Eateries & Retail Stores

VivoCity new zone

Crowned the largest shopping mall in Singapore, VivoCity is a shopping and dining destination where you can clock a tonne of steps in air-conditioned comfort. As if it weren’t huge enough, it has quietly unveiled a brand new retail zone on Level 1, where the TANGS department store used to be.

Don’t worry, TANGS is still there for all your retail needs. It’s just been relocated further down the stretch, and now sits amidst new tenants that add to VivoCity’s already extensive directory. We headed down to sneak a peek at the new digs, and found some exciting opening promos that warrant a visit.

Where is the VivoCity new zone?

To help you get your bearings, just think of where H&M is on Level 1. The newly expanded wing sits right opposite, past the main escalator which brings MRT commuters up from the Basement storeys.

You’ll know you’re on the right track when you see the Bath & Body Works store. If you’re a fan of the franchise or just an eagle-eyed shopper, you may have noticed that it was an existing tenant from before the expansion, and has since doubled in size. Yay for more scented candles and fragrance mists to sift through!

Sitting at the end of VivoCity’s new zone is TANGS, as well-stocked as ever with all your apparel and homeware essentials. If you need to stock up on department store goods, swing by on 26th and 27th May 2023 to take advantage of their 12% rebate promo. This is only open to TANGS members, and it’s free to sign up.

Aesthetic F&B outlets like Waa Cow! & Tiong Bahru Bakery

With well over 100 F&B options throughout VivoCity even before their Level 1 expansion, you don’t need to fear having to starve after a walk-a-thon around the mall.

But just like how we lament having nothing to wear when our wardrobe is bursting, a common dilemma among friends, family, and couples alike is the whole “What you want to eat? IDK, you choose lah” back and forth.

Settle your next meal at one of the new cafes and restaurants within VivoCity’s new wing. The Providore and Tiong Bahru Bakery are chill spots to catch up with pals over a cuppa or get some work done, and we spotted plenty of eager office folk making a beeline for Waa Cow! for a sumptuous lunch.

New & upcoming boutiques like Aldo & Prada

VivoCity is quite a shopping mecca, with flagships like Pull&Bear, Superdry, and Zara occupying its floors. To fill your retail itinerary even further, the new Level 1 expansion includes fashion boutiques like Aldo if you’re in need of a bag and shoe refresh, and Polo Ralph Lauren for some smart and classy staples.

Keep a lookout for upcoming openings as well, which currently include Chanel and Prada. The next time you’re on the prowl for a fancy gift or just want to treat yourself to something nice on payday, you know where to go.

Opening specials including free photo booth & flower redemption

With the unveiling of a whole new atrium, of course there are festivities to be expected. Here are some goodies you can redeem when you spend a minimum of $20 in a single receipt at any VivoCity tenant, not just within the new zone. Take note that the redemption booths will only be open 5pm-9pm daily.

From 27th-28th May and 3rd-4th June, you’ll be able to strut around the mall with a fresh bloom in hand. Just hop on over to the Happiness Blooms Flower Bar to redeem your choice of complimentary flower.

And on every Saturday & Sunday from 26th May to 18th June, you’ll get to capture cute memories the old-school way, in a retro photo booth. You can even personalise your pics in 4 different designs. Fret not if you miss the window for complimentary photos, as the booth will still be here till 25th June 2023 charging $10/print.

New places to check out at VivoCity’s new zone

Coursing through the entirety of VivoCity – known affectionately as “Vivo” amongst regulars – is no mean feat. It should be considered proper cardio, given the amount of square footage there is to cover. And in the ultimate plot twist, they’ve gone and expanded even further with a whole new wing – with a very atas name, no less.

Give the new zone a visit if you’re hankering for new places to dine at, or want to score some buys at the department store or fashion boutiques. It’ll be good to slot in an outing while their opening specials are still available; ‘cause who wouldn’t want a free flower and snazzy photo booth pic?
