Universal Studios Singapore Is Now Open Till Late If You Can’t Get Enough Of Fireworks & Night Parades

Universal After Hours

Universal Studios Singapore is the go-to destination among friends, couples and families for an epic day out, but the fun doesn’t have to end when the sun goes down. Say hello to Universal After Hours, a whole new experience taking place on Fridays, Saturdays and select public holidays where operating hours are extended till 10PM.

Besides getting to experience all your favourite rides and attractions well into the night, there’ll also be live music and a rousing light-up parade. Plus, keep an eye out for the spectacular fireworks on Saturdays and select public holidays!

Catch some of your favourite movies come to life at the Hollywood Dreams Light-Up Parade

Commencing at 7.30PM, make sure to chope a prime spot so you can enjoy unobstructed views. Coursing its way through the entire theme park is a series of grand parade floats, along with skilful performers decked out in stunningly elaborate costumes.

There’ll be 6 different floats in total, with special surprises hidden in each.

Woody Woodpecker and Marilyn Monroe

Alex the Lion from Madagascar

Shrek and the Dragon’s castle

A moving, growling T. rex

Menacing Anubis Guards signalling the Scorpion King’s grand entrance

It’s a wrap!

Groove to live performances by local bands 53A and O.K READY!

Nothing sets the tone for an unforgettable night like jamming to your favourite tunes. Universal After Hours is hosting 2 local favourites from now till April – O.K READY! and 53A, on Fridays and Saturdays respectively from 8.05PM to 8.50PM and again at 9.10PM to 9.55PM.

Get your groove on as they fill the air with thumping bass and smooth-as-silk vocals, crooning to latest pop hits as well as throwback classics from the early 2000s.

There’ll also be a series of exhilarating street shows to catch, so keep your eyes peeled as you roam the park!

Go on your favourite rides as they stay open for hours past regular timing

We’re all familiar with that forlorn atmosphere as theme parks wind down for the day, and amped-up visitors are slowly trudging out of the premises while their hearts yearn for more action. Rejoice, as you’ll no longer need to keep an eye on the clock throughout your trip in anticipation of the 7PM closing time!

As long as you swing by on a Universal After Hours day, you’ll get to scream to your heart’s content on all of the rides, all the way till 10PM.

We’re talking Battlestar Galactica, Revenge Of The Mummy, TRANSFORMERS The Ride: The Ultimate 3D Battle and other legendary rides that visitors the world over flock to USS for.

As a nifty bonus, you can expect shorter queuing times, as well as a cool evening breeze which truly elevates the theme park experience tenfold. Pssst…perfect for a date night under the stars!

End the night with a stunning fireworks display

Speaking of romance, nothing sets the mood for a spellbound night quite like fireworks illuminating the sky.

The Universal After Hours Fireworks Spectacular will start at 10PM on Saturdays and select public holidays, dazzling park goers with a flurry of colourful sparkles and flares.

Eat, drink and be merry with food stalls and a pop-up bar

Maintain your energy levels for hours of excitement by fuelling up at the pop-up food stalls.

A must-try is the Golden Cheese Potato, gloriously deep-fried in batter and stuffed with a mixture of corn, sliced ham, bacon bits and refreshing pineapple chunks.

If you’re still feeling peckish, the Popcorn Chicken Cone and Curry Fishballs are great to munch on-the-go.

We particularly enjoyed the Lollipop Wings, drizzled with your choice of black pepper or Korean gochujang chilli pepper sauce.

There’s also a bar with Draft Beer on tap (1 cup for $10, 3 for $25) and a selection of Cocktails ($10 each).

Get festive with light-up merch and glow-in-the-dark face painting

Merch is a crucial component behind a fully immersive experience, with various headgear, novelty T-shirts and plush toys being staples of most visitors’ theme park ensemble.

Feed into the electrifying atmosphere of the night with special LED merch like the Light Show Windmill Wand or Flower Crown Headband ($10 each) designed to add a twinkle to your every step. Plus, they make for excellent souvenirs commemorating your Universal After Hours adventures.

Other than the regular merch stores, you can also bag these light-up goodies from roving peddlers upon sundown.

Go all-out in the nighttime festivities by getting a face paint makeover. The colour and design options are aplenty, and range from understated quarter-face detailing to full-fledged festival face art.

Universal After Hours is the only chance you’ll get to savour the glow-in-the-dark paints in all their glory, so seize this opportunity to snap some wackily illuminated selfies.

Capture the Insta-worthy aesthetics of Universal Studios Singapore

Since we’re on the topic of selfies and exclusive Universal After Hours photo ops, the drop dead gorgeous park premises certainly deserve a shoutout.

Coming here on a regular day already feels like stepping into the set of a movie wonderland; now imagine the next-level aesthetics when darkness descends and the neon light displays flash into full effect.

The dreamy setups exude endless doses of old-school cool, serving as the ideal backdrop for you and the squad’s Instagram shots. Strike a pose!

Enjoy a Universal After Hours experience till 10PM

From escaping the scorching midday sun to relishing the chill vibes and incomparable aesthetic appeal that only the nighttime can offer, we can hardly think of a reason not to swing by for your first Universal After Hours adventure.

Universal After Hours entry is included with regular one-day theme park admission ($79) as well as Annual or Season passes ($198 and $108 respectively), making the extra hours of fun super value-for-money. Alternatively, Singapore residents can also go online to purchase Universal After Hours After 5PM Adult Tickets for $75 each, which includes $16 in meal vouchers.
