TOPSHOP TOPMAN’s Open House Pop-Up Rooms Look Like Museum Exhibits Where You Can Shop For Clothes Too

Up your shopping game at TOPSHOP TOPMAN’s Open House

Be it serial online-shoppers or fashionistas who are always keeping up with the latest trends, most of us can agree that treating ourselves to something nice once in awhile is the perfect stress relief.

But retail therapy goes beyond just sifting through an endless array of clothing racks or adding items to cart – TOPSHOP TOPMAN’s Open House is here to prove that shopping can be quite the experience too.

Happening from 21 – 24 September 2017, the Open House is your shot at getting an exclusive look at their latest Autumn-Winter 2017 Collection – as well as enjoying 40% off your second item during the same time period. Featuring 4 pop-up rooms that represent different trends from the collection, here’s how our visit went:

1. Ease yourself into a whole new dimension at Rocket Man

With disco balls projecting little “stars” around the room and a space motifs peppering the place, TOPSHOP’s Rocket Man room had us feeling like we were in another galaxy.

Similar to the Silent Disco concept, you’ll be handed a pair of headphones before stepping inside so you can jam out to pop icon David Bowie’s classic, Starman. We took this opportunity to plop down on some beanbags and gaze at the “star-studded” ceiling – which had us feeling calm after a long day.

This shot had us feeling outta-this-world.

Don’t think you’re gonna walk away without getting a money shot in this room. Though dimly lit, this is the perfect opportunity for you to capture a lit Boomerang GIF of the mirrored disco balls casting patterns around the room.

Pic Tip: Snap a pic of you perching yourself onto one of the beanbags and trick your friends into thinking you’re “floating” in the room – just like how you would if in outer space.

2. Step inside a renaissance painting at Royal Heritage

Ever wonder what it’ll be like to step into a painting like those housed in museums? Well, you can now feel it for yourself at TOPSHOP’s Royal Heritage room.

With a floor-to-ceiling interior of checks and tweed, which are prints from the new collection, this trippy wonderland is one giant optical illusion – it’s also got a GIF booth outside for you to capture some psychedelic shots of your own.

Prints are splashed across the entire room – including the furniture inside – which made it feel like we were in one giant optical illusion. We had to take some time to examine the objects inside when we stepped into this 3D picture frame – making it the perfect photo-op, quite literally.

Be sure to bring a friend along when you’re there so you can take turns to capture portraits of yourselves in this trippy room!

3. Take it to the streets at Youth Clash

The star of the Youth Clash room has got to be the half-pipe – skaters, holler! But here’s what you should be most excited for: visitors will be able to graffiti the walls to their hearts’ desire.

Keeping things trendy, TOPMAN’s latest sportswear collection merges bold styles like punk and skate. If you’re one to keep it safe, we say break out of your shell and try adding some street style to your wardrobe.

While there, we got to try our hand at drawing graffiti on the walls – it was the only time we could enjoy the thrill of vandalising “legally”! Plus, with the half-pipe and graffitied walls in the room, it felt like we were actually in a legit skate park – the only thing that was missing was a skateboard.

Be sure not to miss the opportunity to catch talented graffiti artists being in their element as they do their thang demonstrating live art at the event!

Note: The graffiti artist live demonstration will only be available on 23rd September 2017, from 2pm-3pm.

4. Get in touch with contemporary style at Checkmate

Stepping inside TOPMAN’s Checkmate room is almost like going through a jungle full of fabrics. Except instead of hanging vines, you’ll find yourself weaving through strips of woven fabric with distinctly different patterns hanging loosely on the roof – giving you a taste of prints from their autumn collection.

Bonus: Food & Entertainment

Apart from the interactive experiential rooms, you can look forward to munching on tasty bites as peeps from Chye Seng Huat Hardware will be serving up a hearty spread of pastries and coffee.

If you still have some room for dessert, you can treat yourself to over the top ice creams by Three’s A Crowd, with flavours that’ve been specially curated for this event!

Note: Students can redeem a free ice cream from 21 – 22 September on a first-come-first-served basis!

TOPSHOP TOPMAN’s Autumn Winter 2017 Collection

With their new trends being represented in 4 different rooms, you’ll get to have a peep at this season’s looks like never before – leaving you with not just a bag full of clothes, but a rad experience as well for those who aren’t sticklers for fashion.

Online shoppers will be glad to know that their latest collection will be available on Zalora.sg while at the Open House too! All you’ve gotta do is to find an iPad located at the end of the exhibition and shop away. But if you’d like to try to mix and match your own outfits, drop by TOPSHOP and TOPMAN outlets at ION Orchard and Bugis Junction

So be it autumn, winter, or 365 days of summer, time to cop your favourite pieces and drop ‘em dollar bills at TOPSHOP and TOPMAN!
