Popular board game cafe, The Mind Cafe, has announced that it’ll be shuttering its flagship outlet at 60A Prinsep Street after 21 years in the game. Before you panic, though, their mega outlet just down the road at 30 Prinsep Street isn’t going anywhere. But this does mean one less spot for marathon game nights fuelled by unlimited snacks and drinks, while friendships are tested over Cards Against Humanity or a never-ending round of Monopoly.

The board game cafe along Prinsep Street has 2 outlets – the flagship store runs till 11pm, while the mega outlet goes all the way till 6am for night owls.
It’s long been a go-to hangout for students looking to chill over games, but you’ll also spot working adults dropping by for a late-night catch-up, post-drinks sober-up session, or even team bonding and cohesions.
Most people go for their value-for-money packages, which come with free-flow drinks and snacks.

Unfortunately, the flagship outlet will be closing, with its last day of service on 23rd May 2026.
As for why, the team didn’t go into specifics in their announcement. They did share in an Instagram post that they’ll be shifting their focus to the mega outlet nearby, which has a larger space and a wider selection of games – all in the name of creating a “better social gaming experience”.

If you’re feeling emo about the closure, The Mind Cafe gets it, which is why they’re sending off the outlet with a giveaway. 10 winners will each score 4x 2-hour gaming sessions redeemable at the mega outlet.
Here’s how to take part:
The giveaway ends on 22nd May 2026, and winners will be announced on 25th May 2026.
The outlet has been part of many Singaporeans’ core memories, so gather the squad for one last session. But even after the doors close, the mega outlet will still be around for many more rounds of chaos.
