Born and bred in Brisbane, Australia, this four piece indie pop band is embarking on their first ever Asian Tour. Having making their marks in Jakarta, Kualur Lumpur, and Manila, they’ve finally reached the last station of their tour: Singapore. The quartet delivers a mashup of distinctive melodies, cheeky sense of humour, and rock infused rhythms.
The Jungle Giants are a hit in their native country and since the release of their single ‘Mr Polite’ in 2011, they have been making waves on YouTube. They have since released their debut album, ‘Learn to Exist’, in August 2013.
‘Learn to Exist’ was heavily influenced by the relationships and experiences of frontman Sam Hales, who kick started The Jungle Giants with high school friends Cesira Aitken (Lead Guitar), Andrew Dooris (Bass Guitar/Backing Vocals), and Keelan Bijker (Drums).
Their 4 years of solid hard work had paid off when they got to play alongside successful indie bands like Two Door Cinema Club, The Vaccines, Boy and Bear, Last Dinosaurs, and Ball Park Music.
With their expanding legion of fans, The Jungle Giants are slowly making their name known around the world. They will cap off their Asia Tour at TAB in Singapore, it’s a show not to be missed!
The Jungle Giants are in Singapore for a one night only performance, marking their first time on our little red dot. They will be supported by the talented Lia Mice, an Australian experimental pop artist who crafts her unique sound by playing nearly all the instruments in her tracks herself, then reworking each to give her songs a machine-like feel.
Here are three of The Jungle Giants’ top hits that will spin you off to get their tickets. Go get cracking!
