1. Thai Milk Tea Lava Cake

Watching the delicious gooey goodness oozing out has to be my favourite part of eating a lava cake. A dessert classic, Haha Thai puts their own spin on this with their Thai Milk Tea Lava Cake ($10.80).

The contrast between warm cake and cold coconut ice-cream is sure to make your stomach very happy. If you want it, go early. My colleagues visited the restaurant on a Wednesday night but it was sold out – it’s that popular.

Bonus: Thai Tea Ice-Cream

Source

This may be the most common form Thai milk tea desserts take, but we love it nonetheless. It’s also the most accessible form – walk down to any artisan ice-cream parlour in town, and you’ll probably be able to get your hands on it.

Some joints that serve up Thai tea ice-cream include Udders and Creamier. We’ve had Thai tea ice-cream served with charcoal waffles but you can also get it served up with thick-cut Shibuya Toast.

Of course, there’s nothing stopping you from enjoying your Thai milk tea ice-cream all on its own. Yum.
