Can I get an MC online?

Yes, Medical Certificates (MC) can be issued online. In fact, government health institutions have already started digitalising MCs.

All of the telehealth services on this list offer MCs, although some come at additional charge. Most of them even have an app you can download to easily view your medical records, which includes your MCs.

1. Minmed Connect

Free medication delivery within 3 hours

Within a short waiting time of 5-15 minutes, Minmed Connect is able to link you up with a doctor registered by the Singapore Medical Council. Whether you’re running a fever, having an episode of urinary tract infection or encountering skin rashes, each consultation will only cost $21.60, while medicines will be charged separately.

Within a short 4 hours, the prescribed medicines will be delivered to your doorstep at no additional cost. You can also access all your MCs, referral letters, and invoices electronically. In the event your condition is unsuitable for teleconsultation, your consultation fees will be waived and their doctors will refer you to either A&E or nearby clinics accordingly.

Apart from being there for you in sickness, Minmed is also there for you in health. They have workout classes such as Hatha Yoga, Barre, and Pilates from $28. Find out more on Minmed’s website.

If you want to keep your health in check, you can also book an in-person health screening session at their flagship Screening Centre, Minmed Health Screeners at Paragon. Minmed’s Screening Packages start from $320.

Healthway Medical is a widely recognisable name, with its nearly 100 clinics in Singapore. But if visiting one isn’t the most convenient, you can find the same services on their telemedicine app.

Download the app to book consultations with general practitioners for common illnesses and chronic diseases like diabetes and hypertension. There are paediatricians as well so you and your tot can skip queues at the doc’s.

For issues where privacy is an issue, the telemedicine app allows you to hold your consultations in the seclusion of your home. Meet with a licensed psychologist if you’re facing mental wellness issues, or seek advice on sexual wellness and health with a GP.

The app also has Japanese doctors available for expats who may have difficulty finding doctors to give diagnoses in their native tongue. All patients have to do is book a virtual consultation from the app to be connected with the next available doctor for an immediate medical appointment.

Once the consult is over, medical certificates will be sent over via email so you can submit them to your HR to claim medical leave asap. As for patients that require medication for their ailments, they’ll be delivered right to your doorstep within 3 hours or the next day, based on your preferences.

Download the app from Healthway Medical.

Services: Video consultations with GPs, paediatricians & psychologists, medication delivery, in-clinic appointment booking
