There’s A Free CNY Tea Appreciation Workshop For Tea Lovers To Sip & Celebrate Together

Chinese New Year Get-Together at Singapore Zen Cultural Centre

Drinking tea symbolises respect, hospitality, harmony, and social bonding in Chinese culture. And much like the other traditions of CNY, it’s a chance to slow down, appreciate the moment, and enjoy quality time with family and friends.

If that’s right up your alley, you won’t want to miss this Chinese New Year Get-Together at Singapore Zen Cultural Centre – a tea appreciation workshop where you can immerse yourself in the festive spirit – all for free, on 9th February 2025.

Who is the Singapore Zen Culture Centre and what do they do?

As its name suggests, the centre’s main focus is all things zen. It offers 2 main programmes: educational and holistic growth.

The educational classes can range from painting to dancing, all hosted in a serene environment that helps you stay productive while keeping things relaxed.

Holistic growth programmes focus more on mental well-being, offering a chance to unwind, reflect, and connect with others who are also seeking some healing time.

You’ll also get further insight into the culture, social dynamics and significance of drinking tea in Chinese traditions. Hint: it’s pretty significant and there’s plenty to learn.

The decor here is simple yet beautiful, with traditional elements such as Chinese screens and low seatings enhancing the overall experience.

Just remember to brush up on the dos and don’ts of CNY so you can avoid stern glances from your Ah Ma and maximise your huat.
