Hilton Singapore is a 5-star hotel that we’re no strangers to. Though now 50 years old, it still stands strong against a swath of IG-worthy boutique and luxury hotels. To make things more enticing, it’s now offering us a staycay deal we can’t refuse: the Opus Steak-cation package that includes a giant steak platter and free-flow wine.
Here’s what you can expect, along with tips on how to maximise your stay:

We Singaporeans are die-hard foodies, and it’s hard to say no to a deal that combines luxury and gastronomy. For the uninitiated, Opus Bar and Grill is listed by Tripadvisor as the #8 best steakhouse in Singapore. Their steaks are dry-aged in-house for 14 – 36 days in Himalayan salt-tiled dry-ageing cabinets, before being flame-grilled over charcoal and Jarrah wood to serve.
The Opus Steak-cation package ($282/night) allows you to choose from any of the steak sharing platters ideal for 2 pax, including:
500G Australian Wagyu sirloin steak and Marine Stewardship Council-certified Boston lobster
We opted for the Wagyu and Lobster Platter, which offered the right balance between surf and turf so we wouldn’t end up feeling jelak towards the end. The steaks had a nice charred finish while juicy on the inside, bringing out the smoky flavours and caramelised notes.
While the meat on its own, is perfect, for an extra burst of flavour, your platter will be accompanied by sauces like Black Truffle and Mushroom and Garlic Herb Butter for you to dip in.

Their certified sustainably-sourced Boston lobsters are grilled on the signature open-flame grill, which achieves a smoky flavour while still retaining fresh, sweet notes. Served on the side is Opus’ homemade harissa dip to spice things up.
A night at Hilton in a basic room would normally cost $245++, and opting for the most expensive platter and wine would set you back an additional $202. This means you’re essentially saving $206 – making this package extremely worthwhile.
Steak and wine is a match made in heaven but if you usually give that house pour a pass to save a little dough, you won’t have to here because there’s free-flow wine (U.P. $15++) included.
Choose from red wine, white wine, a refreshing prosecco, or mix-and-match them to accompany each element of your meal. You can go all out on the booze this time without having to think about the commute home – your comfy abode is just an elevator ride away.
Get a bubbly prosecco for starters while you wait for the food to arrive
Opening hours: 6PM – 10.30PM, Daily (Dinner) | 10.30PM – 11PM, Daily (Bar)

With the food-coma-inducing dinner and free-flow wine, you’d likely not have issues toh-ing the moment you hit the bed, and Hilton’s Deluxe Room has got you covered. Apart from the comfy king bed, you can unwind with a movie on the large-screen cable TV.
For Netflix marathons, you can do a screen mirror from your phone, but this only works for Android users. While the room offers a solid base of essentials, high-tech conveniences you might find in newer hotels are not as readily available. But even so, you can easily bring your own HDMI cable to hook up your Nintendo switch for an alternative entertainment option.
Other amenities include a Nespresso machine and TWG teas which you can refill anytime. There’s also a well-lit work table with an ergonomic chair that you can use to catch up on emails if you’re looking to turn it into a workation.
While the stay allows for up to 2 adults, parents can take along two kids under 16 years old in the same room without any additional cost.
Wake up to a scenic view of the city
Pro tip: Although you’ve already had premium steak for dinner, nothing beats a good ol’ cup of instant noodles during a staycay. 7-eleven stores are just a stone’s throw away for you to get your midnight snacks. Just remember to request for cutlery at the concierge!
If you need some retail therapy, Hilton has its very own shopping gallery right next to the lobby, featuring designer brands such as Issey Miyake and Giorgio Armani. It’s also located conveniently in the heart of Orchard Road with ION Orchard and Takashimaya round the corner.
PSA to all parents, there’s a 0.6M circular wading pool for the young ‘uns to play in.
Now, no staycation is complete without a splashing good time at the pool, which is also the best place to snap some IG-worthy pictures so you can post about your atas weekend.
There’s also plenty of deck chairs available if you’re looking to work on your tan, or browse through your copy of Kinfolk in the sun. Otherwise, there are cushioned sofas in the shade for you to laze the day away while catching the sweeping views of Orchard Road.
Pro tip: After settling down in your room, head straight to the pool to book a slot. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, only 20 people can be allowed at the pool area per 1-hour slot.
Opening hours: 7AM – 8PM, Daily
Fitspos who want to have a good sweat sesh can head to the gym, which is well-equipped with treadmills, cross-trainers, weights and bench press equipment. Similar to the pool, you also have to book a slot beforehand as there’s a 10 person limit – a blessing in disguise as it’ll give you ample space to workout.
Opening hours: 5AM – 10PM
Breakfast sets include coffee or tea along with your choice of fruit juice
There are few things in life I’d gladly wake up early for, and one of them is a complimentary hotel breakfast. At Hilton, there’s an extensive menu with Western and Asian selections (U.P. $25), including:
We’re pretty spoilt for choice when it comes to staycation options these days. While our IG feeds are flooded with newer, aesthetic hotels, the classy Hilton holds its own with its attractive, value-for-money Steak-cation package.
On the whole, it checks off all the essentials: a fuss-free staycay, comfortable abode and a generous wagyu feast fit for foodies. This steak-cation promo ends 30th April 2021, so book your stay quickly!
