Family staycation at JW Marriott Singapore South Beach

Parenthood is no easy feat, what with ensuring your family’s health and happiness levels are in check. And the best way to achieve this? With some quality homework-free time, doing activities that you and the kids can take part in together.

If you’ve already ticked off places like the Jewel’s Canopy and Kidztopia off your to-do family list, the Fun For The Whole Family package from JW Marriott Singapore South Beach is a staycay option to consider for an upcoming weekend away from home.

From learning new moves inspired by ballet to exploring unique architectural structures under this new Family by JW programme, here’s what you can expect during your stay:

Luxurious and spacious rooms for the whole family

The Premier Room boasts unobstructed views of Singapore’s skyscrapers

Parents with young ones will understand how hyper kids can be, which is why a spacious room will be much appreciated. The Deluxe Room and Premier Room can fit a king-sized bed or 2 twin single beds, and upon request, a baby crib and a JW Camper, so you’ll get uninterrupted sleep away from your kiddo.

Both room types come with a marble bathroom with a bathtub, which also means tired parents can finally unwind in a bubble bath while the kids get busy with kid-friendly activities – all this with room views overlooking the Singapore cityscape.

Curated hands-on activities like drawing and ballet-inspired moves to keep little ones occupied

To one-up your family staycation from usual hotel stays, the Fun For The Whole Family package is specially catered to kids, with the main goal of keeping them well-entertained throughout their stay with activities the whole family can join in with.

Kids can look forward to a welcome pack upon checking in, which include materials for activities in and around the hotel such an Exploration Map, and even a complimentary JW t-shirt so they can look their best for the stay!

Redeem a free kids t-shirt by Family JW when your kid completes activities in the activity booklet

Get creative with the stickers and stick-on tattoos from the Activity Guide booklet

Quirky tattoos that you can add as a family

Part of the materials received as part of the Adventures in Architecture Activity Book consists of stickers, stick-on tattoo sheets and fill-in-the-blank quizzes and challenges to keep children busy.

Within this booklet, there are also empty spaces for kids to unleash their inner Picasso and doodle architectural structures from their imagination. For inspiration, there are pages within the book that reference structures like the Guggenheim Museum and various spots around JW Marriott Singapore South Beach itself.

Kids can also roleplay as inspectors by joining in the hunt for JW’s pictorial mascots, Billy and Allie, who are cleverly hidden within the pages. Other things they’ve got to look out for: an octopus, a flamingo and a turtle in the crowd.

Stretch and learn ballet-inspired moves while being surrounded by the city skyline

Keeping an active lifestyle shouldn’t be overlooked too. And families can take advantage of the Get Up and Wind Down Turndown Cards to self-learn learn some new moves inspired by ballet together at the poolside or at the rooftop garden.

Created by professional dancers from The Joffrey Ballet, these cards provide instructions on movements like the Pike Stretch, Saute (jump) and the Butterfly Stretch. They might sound intimidating, but they’re easy enough for kids from as young as 4 years old to execute.

We recommend enjoying this activity at Flow 18, an outdoor deck with views of Singapore’s stunning skyline. For the best backdrop to your family stretching, head up during sunrise or sunset for a truly memorable and mentally rejuvenating experience together.

International breakfast buffet spread and optional DIY pizza

No stay is complete without feasting like royalty! Start the day right with a luxurious buffet spread at Beach Road Kitchen, which offers various cuisines from Japanese to Indian to Western. You’ll also find local delights like dim sumotah and nasi goreng.

And weekend stays are extra special. Opt in for the Sunday Brunch buffet ($118++ per adult / $59++ per child) where children can get creative by creating their very own pizza from scratch, right from rolling the dough to choosing their toppings.

There are also 3 live stations with an on-site chef that’ll prepare your dishes just the way you like them.

At the Noodle Soup Bar live station, take as much of your favourite ingredients and pass your bowl over to the chef, and decide between a chicken or fish-based broth.

For something sweet, you’ll find The Waffle Iron live station, where you’ll have warm toasty waffles and pancakes made on the spot for you. Top it off with a selection of over 10 condiment types and sauces.

Interact with art displays around the hotel

Spot the many art and installations around the hotel space itself, making it almost seem like a museum of its own.

The video wall by the entrance was an eye-catcher. It featured a huge floor-to-ceiling screen that glowed with rainbow-coloured waves that constantly swept across the screen. We couldn’t leave without capturing a stunning photo with this hypnotising backdrop.

The lifts will also change colours when you’re inside, which was a nice touch that made for a perfect Boomerang moment on the way up to the room.

Stay fit with family-friendly facilities like the infinity pool and 24-hour gym

Make full use of your hotel stay by dropping by the kid-friendly infinity pool. Located under shelter, you can still get some laps in even if it’s pouring outside.

While the kids take a dip, parents can lounge at the nearby dining area on the pool itself, so you can keep a watchful eye over your little ones’ safety.

There’s also a Spa by JW and a 24-hour gym too, if you’re planning to squeeze in some serious pampering time or work up a sweat.

Central location near MRT stations and shopping centres and museums

Once you’ve explored all the hotel has to offer and intend to head outdoors, JW Marriott Singapore’s central location also makes getting out and about extra convenient. The hotel is right outside Esplanade MRT station and is also a stone’s throw away from mega malls like Suntec City and Raffles City.

There’s no better feeling than being able to walk back to your abode for the night!
