It’s the Christmas season, and with the end of the year approaching, many of us are starting to plan the next getaway to experience snow and cooler climates. However, some of us may not have the budget for a trip to the snowy mountains in Harbin or Yunnan, but still want to experience snowfall in the mood of this festive holiday.
Fret not, as there are plenty of Xmas pop-ups and events happening in our little red dot right now, where you can witness a white Christmas. Here’s a list of places to see “snow” in Singapore for free.

In collaboration with Pokémon, Catch The Holiday Magic at Suntec City will have snowfall shows taking place at Suntec Plaza from Thursdays to Sundays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm, with an extra show at 9.30pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
You can also look forward to Pokémon merch, a 6m-tall Pikachu inflatable, a trading card game zone, and meet-and-greet sessions.

Right after the daily free light and music showcase at the Jewel Rain Vortex, there’ll be a snowfall around the giant festive Christmas tree. If you haven’t heard, the Disney Cruise Line-themed Christmas is underway. Catch all your fave Disney, Pixar, and Marvel characters when you head to the mall.
As for the snowfall, catch it every day at 7.35pm, 8.05pm, and 9.05pm; with an extra show at 10.05pm from Fridays to Sundays.

The Great Christmas Village 2025 will be adding more cheer and merry to the bustling Orchard Road, with snowfall shows and a festive village at Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza. Happening daily at 8pm and 9pm, the snowfall shows will last 4 minutes for each session, so come prepared by looking at the show schedules online.
There will also be a festive carnival with food stalls that will fill the atmosphere with a delectable aroma and live performances by local artists every weekend and 7.30pm and 8.45pm for 45 minutes each session.

To catch the snowfall at VivoCity, head outside the mall where a Candyland has been built with a giant snowman, gingerbread house, and rainbow-coloured lollipops. The faux snowfall show is happening every evening from Tuesdays to Sundays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm. The enormous candyland-themed Christmas tree here would make the perfect backdrop for your IG photos, so get your cameras ready.

In celebration of Disney Cruise coming to Singapore, Changi Festive Village has been transformed into a Disney wonderland. Catch Captain Mickey and Minnie at T3 Departure Hall where there’ll be a daily snowfall happening.
The showtimes will be at 7.30pm and 8.30pm from Mondays to Thursdays, and at hourly intervals from 7.30pm to 9.30pm from Fridays to Sundays.

The Woodleigh Mall is bringing snowy vibes through December with their Christmas Adventure. If you live near Bidadari, this is the place for your kiddos to attend Frosty Snow Play, happening daily from 7.30pm to 7.50pm. Just head to the Level 1 entrance near Collin’s Gastro Dining to catch the snowfall.

Joining in the festive cheer this season is the Christmas Enchantment at Capitol Singapore & CHIIJMES, where there will be a Christmas market, nightly snowfall, and live carolling. The merry snowfall shows will last 10 minutes for each session and will happen at 30-minute intervals from 7pm to 10pm. You can catch these at 2 locations – Capitol Singapore Outdoor Plaza and CHIJMES Mini Lawn.

Expect to see European-inspired gifts and crafts at the Christmas market here, which will be operating at the Outdoor Plaza from 12pm-9pm daily. As you shop, your spirits won’t be down with live Christmas carols being performed by Voices of Singapore and The Original Folks, from Fridays to Sundays at 6.30pm, 7.30pm, and 8.30pm.

If you’re looking for something more than just a faux snowfall show, Snow Splendours at Tanglin Mall offers 2 types of snow shows that will excite the child in you again. Happening at the area outside Starbucks between Tanglin Road and Grange Road, you’ll get to experience Avalanche, a snowfall made of foamy bubbles and Snow, the conventional artificial snowfall.

As part of the Christmas festivities lined up at The Star Vista’s Sparkle in the Joy of Homecoming, there will be a weekend Snowy Spectacular snowfall show at The Star Plaza in B1.

The snowfall show, held at their picturesque 23m-tall Christmas tree, will have 2 showtimes – 7.30pm and 8.30pm from Fridays to Sundays starting 6th December, as well as on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Christmas Wonderland 2025 will bring a flying Santa, new light installations, carnival games, and rides. At the end of every Garden Rhapsody music show, Blizzard Time is a faux snowfall show that will take place inside the 20m tall Spalliera, illuminated by 100,000 bulbs for the most aesthetic pictures.
The timings for the snowfall show will be at 7.45pm, 8.45pm, and 9.35pm daily. To get the best view of the snowfall action happening, consider getting tickets to OCBC Skyway ($10/adult) which will give you a viewing experience from the highest point in the venue.

In commemoration of Wicked’s movie premiere, Universal Studios Singapore has been transformed into Emerald City for Wicked: For Good at Sentosa. Get ready to be wowed by realistic movie sets inspired by the film, as well as Elphaba and Glinda mascots walking around to enchant you with their magic.
While you’re there, you’ll also be treated to A Universal Christmas this holiday season. As part of the activities lined up, the Santa’s Rockmas show will feature Shrek and the penguins from Madagascar helping Santa power up his Charge-O-Meter and then get rewarded with a snowfall at the end of the show.
