It’s Christmas season and with the end of the year approaching, many of us are starting to plan the next getaway to experience snow and cooler climates. However, some of us may not have the budget for a trip to Switzerland or Japan, but still want to experience snowfall in the mood of this festive holiday.

Fret not, as there are plenty of pop-ups and events happening in our little red dot right now where you can witness snowfall. From snowfall shows at a Pop Mart-themed event with an inflatable playground to beautifully crafted ice sculptures, here’s a list of places to see “snow” in Singapore.

1. POP Into Christmas Joy at Suntec


Snowfall shows accompanied by cute POP Mart topiaries

With the recent craze over Labubu plush dolls, POP Into Christmas Joy couldn’t have a more timely arrival with its Pop Mart-themed topiaries and inflatables. In collaboration with Pop Mart, this event at Suntec City will have snowfall shows taking place from Thursdays to Sundays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm, with an extra show at 9.30pm on Fridays and Saturdays.

You can look forward to Bounce Bonanza, an inflatable playground with bouncy slides, obstacle courses, and even an exhilarating ball pit for the kids to jump into. There will also be plenty of photo opportunities with the large-scale Labubu, Molly, and Skullpanda sculptures, with a 6m tall Pink Dimoo Wish Deer inflatable being the largest installation you can’t miss.

2. Christmas Wonderland 2024


Snowfall inside the newly built Spalliera


The 11th edition of the annual Christmas Wonderland happening in 2024 will bring 14 new light installations, carnival games, and rides. At the end of every Garden Rhapsody music show, Blizzard Time is a faux snowfall show that will take place inside the 20m tall Spalliera, illuminated by 100,000 bulbs for the most aesthetic pictures.

The timings for the snowfall show will be at 8pm, 9pm, and 9.50pm daily. To get the best view of the snowfall action happening, consider getting tickets to OCBC Skyway ($10/adult) which will give you a viewing experience from the highest point in the venue.

3. Snow City


Admire ice sculptures & experience real snow

With the recent revamp to Snow City, the ice attraction now has 3 new and improved areas for an immersive arctic experience. Snow Village will now have real snowfall, so be ready to tread through a -5°C environment while having some fun snowball fights.

At Rainbow Frosty Playground, there are new ice sculptures in place such as a realistic F1 racing car that you can sit in and an ice fairy garden for photo opportunities. An exciting new addition to the attraction is Glacier Rush, a huge 120m long ice luge made of over 1,300 ice blocks, that is illuminated by pulsing neon lights.

4. The Great Christmas Village at Ngee Ann City


Snowfall shows & carnival games


The Great Christmas Village will be adding more cheer and merry to the bustling streets of Ngee Ann City, with snowfall shows and a carnival. Happening daily at 8pm and 9pm, the snowfall shows will last 4 minutes for each session so come prepared by looking at the show schedules online.

There will also be a festive carnival with exciting carousel rides, claw machines for you to test your luck, food trucks that will fill the atmosphere with a delectable aroma, and performances by local buskers.

5. Hasbro Game Carnival at VivoCity


Experience snowfall at this Hasbro-themed event

Test your hand-eye coordination skills at the Hasbro Game Carnival, an event that offers 9 game stations including Nerf, Twister, Monopoly, Connect 4, and Play-Doh. If you are confident in your skills, you stand a chance to win prizes such as Hasbro merch, shopping vouchers, and Insta360 cameras.

To catch the snowfall here, there will be faux snowfall shows happening every evening from Tuesdays to Sundays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm. The enormous 15m tall Monopoly-themed Christmas tree here would make the perfect backdrop for your IG photos, so get your cameras ready.

6. Hello Kitty Festive Wonderland

In celebration of Hello Kitty’s 50th anniversary, Changi Festive Village has been transformed into Hello Kitty Festive Wonderland this year. Topiaries of Hello Kitty and her Sanrio friends are spread out across 15 locations in the airport’s 4 terminals and there will also be a carnival here with 9 themed-zone, including claw machines and carousel rides.

Snap a pic with one of these friendly characters, or meet them IRL through meet-and-greet sessions with 2 mascots parading daily. As you shake hands with Hello Kitty, don’t miss out on the snowfall shows happening at Terminal 3 from now till 1st January 2025.

The showtimes will be at 7.30pm and 8.30pm from Mondays to Thursdays, and at hourly intervals from 7.30pm to 9.30pm from Fridays to Sundays.

7. A Universal Christmas at USS

In commemoration of Wicked’s movie premiere, Universal Studios Singapore has been transformed into Emerald City for A Universal Christmas this holiday season. Get ready to be wow-ed by realistic movie sets inspired by Wicked, as well as Elphaba and Glinda mascots walking around to enchant you with their magic.

As part of the activities lined up, the Tinker Time Christmas Show will have elf mascots walking around and snowfall being released at regular intervals. Embrace the magical event by visiting The Emerald Beautification Salon, a place where you can get a makeover to look just like a witch from the movie.

8. Peppa Pig Snowy Fun at Marina Square

If you are looking for a wholesome family activity to do, bring your kids down to Peppa Pig Snowy Fun for a fun day of ice skating and photo-taking opportunities with cute displays. Surrounding an illuminated Christmas tree will be a Peppa Pig-themed ice skating rink, as well as Peppa Pig sculptures laid around to accompany you on your adventure.

There will be 2 snowfall shows happening each day on weekdays at 2pm and 7.30pm; and 3 shows daily from Friday to Sunday with an additional timing at 8.15pm. If you spend a minimum of $60 within 3 receipts at Marina Square, you’ll be one of the lucky few people to enjoy a 20-minute meet-and-greet session with the Peppa Pig mascots too.

9. Christmas Rendezvous at Capitol Singapore & CHIJMES


Frequent snowfall shows with live carols performed

Joining in the festive cheer this season is the Christmas Rendezvous at Capitol Singapore & CHIIJMES, where there will be a Christmas market, snowfall, and live music. The merry snowfall shows will last 10 minutes for each session and will happen at 30-minute intervals from 7pm-10pm.

Expect to see European-inspired gifts and crafts at the Christmas market here, which will be operating at the Outdoor Plaza from 12pm-9pm daily. As you shop, your spirits won’t be down with live Christmas carols being performed by Voices of Singapore and The Original Folks, from Fridays to Sundays at 6.30pm, 7.30pm and 8.30pm.

10. Snow Splendours at Tanglin Mall


Have a shower in a foamy snowfall show

If you’re looking for something more than just a faux snowfall show, Snow Splendours at Tanglin Mall offers 2 types of snow shows that will excite the child in you again. Happening at the area outside Starbucks between Tanglin Road and Grange Road, you’ll get to experience Avalanche, a snowfall made of foamy bubbles and Snow, the conventional artificial snowfall.

11. Living The Joy of Christmas at The Star Vista


Bring your kids to build a snowman

As part of the Christmas festivities lined up at The Star Vista’s Living The Joy of Christmas, there will be a snow play area inside the mall for kids to grovel in and build their adorable snowmen.

All you have to do to redeem an admission ticket is spend a minimum of $30 within the mall. Do note that each ticket can only be used for 1 person and kids under 6 years old will have to be accompanied by their parents.

There will also be snowfall shows happening at their picturesque 20m tall Christmas tree that looks just like a clock tower, with 2 showtimes being at 7.30pm and 8.30pm from Fridays to Sundays.
