SK-II Has A New Pop-Up With Neon Installations In Orchard That IG Photographers Are Flocking To

SK-II’s Change Destiny Pop-Up On Orchard Road

Dedicated Instagrammers know one thing – it’s tough work scouting out new interesting photogenic locations to maintain a perfectly curated feed. SK-II’s Change Destiny Pop-Up is one more unsuspecting photo hotspot sitting right under your nose outside the Mandarin Gallery on Orchard Road.

From an infinite world of LED lights brighter than your future and a neon waterfall rain wall to complimentary latte art and a free magic ring skin consultation, here’s what you can expect at this hypnotic, experiential pop-up from now until the 2nd of January 2018:

Installation #1: The Neon Waterfall Wall

Think ‘The Matrix‘ but in technicolour. This motion-activated waterfall captures the shadow of your silhouette and traps it within the installation itself, making it seem as though a part of your being is being sucked into a different dimension through space and time. So get creative with composition, and ready your Boomerang app.

You’ve got to be quick though, the waterfall only appears for a solid few seconds before it morphs to reveal SK-II’s campaign message “Change is in all of us”, so it’s best to think of your poses beforehand!

Installation #2: Power of Pitera™

Venturing into the next room will open the door into an infinite world of LED bubbles that glows and fades to the beat of the music

This installation pays tribute to SK-II’s signature ingredient Pitera, a natural bio-ingredient that dramatically improves the skin’s rejuvenation process and boosts your skin’s energy.

Tip: Position yourself so the balls create a clear path in the direction your subject.

To capture this ‘bokeh’ effect backdrop set your aperture low at 1.8-2.8

Installation #3: SK-II Limited Edition Display

In the third and last installation on the first floor of the pop-up, SK-II introduces the latest makeover their classic Facial Treatment Essence bottle has undergone – a full-white bottle emblazoned with inspirational words that challenge women all over the world to break the mould and change their destinies, and live life by their own terms.

Discover your skin age and pick up some free samples

5 minutes is all it takes!

After completing your photo hunt mission, make your way up the spiral staircase and you’ll be greeted by several SK-II beauty consultants ready to help you discover your skin’s true age with the SK-II Magic Ring test.

The test analyses five dimensions of your skin: Texture Refinement, Firmness, Wrinkle Resilience, Spots Control and Radiance Enhancement.

And don’t let your insecurities get the better of you, the sole purpose of the test is to determine if your skin is ageing faster than it should. Even if the results aren’t what you expect, you’ll be given actionable steps to fix that skin issue, pronto.

Espresso yourself with complimentary latte at the Pitera Cafe
