From 7th – 20th September 2020, Skechers will be joining in the virtual fun with their Friendship Walk 2020. Instead of doing the walk on-site, you’ll be clocking in the KMs from the comforts of the gym or your neighbourhood park. With prizes like vouchers and a year’s supply of shoes all lined up, even the most fitness-averse people would want to join in.

Skechers Friendship Walk 2020

Just like any other walk or run, you’ll first need to sign up via their website. Participation is completely FOC – but you might want to register ASAP, as you can pick up additional event merchandise like the finishers’ medal and T-shirt at lower prices.

These are the dates to keep in mind:

Early bird registration from now to 6th August 2020: merchandise at the early bird price of $5.99 each
Race registration for Skechers VIP members from now to 31st August 2020: merchandise at special rates of $5.99 each
Normal registration from now to 18th September 2020: merchandise at $9.99 each

After registering, you’ll receive a personalised e-BIB, which you’re free to post on any of your social media platforms.

As the Skechers walk is split into categories of 3KM, 5KM, and 10KM, you can pick the distance that you’re most comfortable with. Multiple submissions are allowed throughout the entire duration, which you can submit via the website – do feel free to submit as many entries as you like.

Win 1-for-1 vouchers and a year’s worth of Skechers shoes

Exercising is hard work, and to reward you for your effort, Skechers has a ton of prizes all lined up.

Here’s the kicker: all participants will stand a chance to score a whole year’s supply of Skechers shoes – that’s 12 pairs worth a retail price of $1,200! Only one lucky winner will take this prize home – the winner will be chosen at random from any category.

That’s not the only prize up for grabs. By posting your fitness stories onto the 42Race app (iOS, Android), 5 lucky winners will also stand a chance to win the Inspiration Award and snag a pair of Skechers’ signature series a la the GoWalk Smart shoes ($109-$119) each.
