When it comes to food, we Singaporeans are one united people. We proudly proclaim #foodie on our IG bios, and queue for hours just to try new restaurants and cafes.
Naturally, the Singapore Food Festival exists solely to satiate our hungry appetites for good eats. This year, it even includes a Festival Village where you can grab exclusive grub. Happening from 31st August to 11th September 2022, here’s all you need to know:
Other events happening in SG:
Dry laksa with grilled tiger prawns from Jelebu.

Any true blue Singaporean would already have a mental list of places to go for classic takes on their fave local dishes. But the Festival Village is all about getting experimental.
Nasi lemak taco from Mezcla.

Think rich and creamy laksa but fried till it’s dry and topped with grilled seafood. Or fragrant nasi lemak served in a taco for a Mexican spin.
Golden chilli crab burger from The Goodburger.

Vegans and vegetarians, there are options for you too, like a chilli crab burger made with plant-based crab.

You’re sure to be stuffed after such decadent dishes, but if you’re still hankering for dessert, there are healthy snacks to munch on. Slake that mouth itchy feeling with Plucked’s durian chips.
These freeze-dried nibbles are made of 100% real fruit with no preservatives or additives, and will be available at the Festival Village in 20g baggies to bring home – or finish on the spot. Check out the Plucked website to see what other flavours they have in store.
Some 25 vendors will be setting up shop at the Festival Village. It’ll be a line up of F&B you’re probably already familiar with, like foodtruckers The Goodburger, and One Prawn & Co, which recently received a Michelin Star Bib Gourmand.
Hands up if the pics here made you wish you could reach into your screen to savour these delectables. Yeah, us too. But before you go breaking your device in a frenzy, book yourself a ticket to the Festival Village.
Tickets are at $15/pax for weekday entry and $20/pax for weekend entry. These come with $10 or $12 credits respectively that you can use to offset spending at the village. Jio 3 other kakis for a greater deal: $50/4 pax on weekdays and $70/4 pax on weekends.

The Festival Village will be taking place at Bayfront Event Space, right next to Marina Bay Sands. It’s the same place where you’ll find the One Love Asia Festival later this year, where Mandopop stars like Stefanie Sun will take the stage for 2 nights.
Apart from food, take a breather between bites by hopping on carnival rides like a carousel and swing. We hear there’ll be live entertainment too to keep festival vibes going.
