There’s nothing more Singaporeans care about than food – you can tell from our fixation with mala hotpot, salted egg everything, and many other food trends. We’ll even travel to far-flung corners for famed nasi lemak or brave long queues for Michelin Bib Gourmand hawker fare.

And that’s exactly why we’re eagerly awaiting this year’s Singapore Food Festival. $0.50 hawker dishes, chilli crab ramen, and a novel buah keluak burger – there’ll be a delish range of food to try come 12th July to 28th July 2019.

STREAT is an annual food event that never disappoints, and it’s no different this year with a solid lineup of 12 food stalls dishing up hawker fare and tapas-style bites. Many are big players in Singapore’s F&B scene and you’re bound to recognise a few names, with the likes of Salted & Hung and The Feather Blade.

All dishes are either traditional come with a local twist – our tastebuds are sure to enjoy it all, from Teochew kway chap to rendang steak sandwiches. Prices range from an affordable $4 to $15. The cocktails (from $15) from pop-up bar The Origin Bar are also worth a try – they’re inspired by bustling districts around Singapore, like Orchard Road and Little India.
