If you’ve ever wanted to try your hand at pottery without committing to a full course, the 3-hour Craft Your Story: A Common Touch Pottery Workshop (from $100) by Common Touch might just be for you. You’ll learn 2 key techniques, hand-building and wheel-throwing, throughout the duration of the workshop.
For hand-building, you’ll use a pinching method to create 1 large or 2 small pieces, then personalise them with your favourite colours. On the potter’s wheel, you get 4 attempts, but can only pick 3 to fire, so choose wisely.
When the workshop is over, you’ll walk away with 5 unique ceramic pieces. Do the math, and that’s $20 per piece – not bad for a few hours of fun, guidance, and creative satisfaction.

Whoever said you can’t take your favourite kueh home as magnets has been lying. The Kueh Magnet Making Workshop (from $46) by Arudio Ceramic lets you sculpt and decorate 5 ceramic magnets inspired by traditional delights like ang ku kueh and tutu kueh.
You’ll be working with air-dry clay before painting them, easy enough to be a kid-friendly activity if you want to bring the little ones along. The best part is your magnets go home with you in classic plastic packaging – just like the real deal – so you can proudly stick your mini kueh on the fridge.

Kintsugi is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with “gold” – although here, it’s actually done with metallic paint and fast-drying epoxy to achieve the same effect.
At the Modern Kintsugi Workshop (from $94) by LivArtFully, the session begins with a reflection on imperfection, followed by the symbolic act of breaking and reassembling pottery. Over 2.5 to 3.5 hours, you’ll create a unique piece while you enjoy some much-needed me-time.
All materials are provided, but you’re welcome to bring your own brokenware if you have something sentimental to resurrect.

The Orchid Floral Resin Coaster Workshop ($88) by Floral Knots lets you design a practical yet aesthetic art piece that’s both functional and useful. You’ll pick out preserved flowers and arrange them to your liking, before sealing everything in with resin for that glossy finish.
Since resin takes a few days to cure, your masterpiece won’t be ready to take home right away. You’ll need to pop by again to collect it, or have it delivered to you via courier for $5.

At the Tile Painting Workshop ($48) by Visual Arts Centre, you’ll spend 2 hours designing and painting your own ceramic tile, taking inspiration from Peranakan motifs and familiar Singapore icons.
The session kicks off with a short intro on the history behind traditional Peranakan tiles and Singapore landmarks, before you start getting hands-on with paints and brushes. Rest assured that the session is guided step-by-step by instructors, so even total beginners can create something frame-worthy.

Print N Matters, an art studio specialising in print and paper crafts, runs a Papermaking Workshop ($37.65) that’s equal parts eco-friendly and relaxing. You’ll learn how to upcycle paper pulp and transform it into handcrafted sheets in different colours and textures – perfect for journaling, gift cards, or just to keep as pretty keepsakes.
Trainers will guide you through the entire process, so all you have to do is focus on enjoying the slow, therapeutic act of creating something from scratch.

The Batik Clay Art Experience (from $100) by Hands On Klay combines craft with culture, as you learn to condition clay, blend colours, and imprint Batik-inspired designs under the guidance of local artisans.
Along the way, you’ll also get to know more about the significance of Batik and how its motifs reflect Singapore’s diverse heritage. At the end of the session, you’ll bring home a handcrafted accessory of your choice – either a pair of earrings, a keychain, or a pendant.

Those who’ve ever toyed with the idea of getting inked but aren’t ready for the commitment can consider jagua tattoos as a great middle ground. Similar to henna, these natural tattoos last up to 2 weeks – long enough to show off, but not forever.
Jrawing with Jagua (from $180) at HEYCYANN is beginner-friendly, so no art experience is required. The session is split into 6 parts, starting with an intro to jagua, linework, and shading, before moving on to analysing different tattoo styles. You’ll then get hands-on with your own designs, ending with the most exciting bit – inking a final piece on yourself.
Each participant also goes home with a starter kit that includes specially formulated jagua ink for darker, longer-lasting stains.

For anyone who thinks art jamming is a little too tame, the Balloon Splatter Art Workshop (from $85) by Art Pop takes things further. Instead of just brushes and palettes, you’ll be layering colours, experimenting with contrasts, and – best of all – popping paint-filled balloons to create a canvas that’s entirely your own.
It’s a light-hearted, kid-friendly activity that works just as well for families as it does for groups of friends looking for something different to do on the weekend.
Fun fact: Hong Kong stars Joey Yung and Cantopop duo Twins – comprising Charlene Choi and Gillian Chung – also gave balloon splatter art a go at this very studio while filming Girl’s Spectacular Journey.

Fresh flowers are great, but they don’t last. At the Floral Lampworking Workshop ($137.40) by Gurasu House, you’ll make your own glass “flower” that’ll stay chio forever.
Over 2 hours, you’ll learn the basics of lampworking across 3 stages – petal making, leaf making, and finally assembling your flower. Each step comes with a demo first, plus a no-flame practice round to help you get used to the tools before the real deal.
There are more than 20 colours to choose from, giving you plenty of options to customise your creation. Just note that some premium shades require a small top-up.

The Make Your Own LED Neon Sign Workshop (from $100) by RetroCade SG will help you go from raw materials to a glowing masterpiece you can hang at home in just 3 hours. It’s split into 3 parts: laying LED light strips onto the acrylic grooves, soldering the connecting points, and finally cutting and bending rubber tubes to lock everything in place.
Prices vary depending on the size of your sign. Small options include designs like a lotus or a rainbow, regular ones feature quirky picks like a poop emoji, noodles, or even a guitar, while the extra-large range lets you go all out with “HUATx3,” “Alamak!”, or a big ol’ Snorlax.
