With Singapore’s fast pace, it’s easy to get absorbed in the daily grind without a thought for the less fortunate in our midst. But this 8 to 10 September, Marina Bay Sands’ Sands For Singapore Charity Festival is returning in its fifth edition, featuring family-friendly activities that’ll raise funds for local charities.
It’ll be fun, too: lounge around at the event’s first ever Sundown Picnic, complete with live performances and delectable grub to satiate your tastebuds from Marina Bay Sands’ award-winning restaurants.
And for something more active, race to the top of the Sands SkyPark or cheer on participants competing in charity challenge, Play It Forward. You’ll be doing your bit in giving back to the community, as all proceeds collected from the festival will go to charity. Here’s what you can look forward to:
Good food + sunset views of the Singapore skyline at the Event Plaza = the ideal way to lepak. Image adapted from: @abishekgupta114
Besides its signature light and water show, the Event Plaza is the spot to catch beautiful sunsets. Feel free to grab a mat and kick back as it transforms into a cosy urban picnic space for the Sands for Singapore Charity Festival’s first Sundown Picnic.

But this is a picnic with a difference – as you can treat yourself to a spread of food and drink from Marina Bay Sands’ celebrity chef restaurants db Bistro & Oyster Bar, Adrift by David Myers and Osteria and Pizzeria Mozza Singapore. These bites will taste extra good with the knowledge that money spent will go towards charity too!
Just make sure you don’t slip into a food coma.
