It might be a little early to entertain Halloween’s haunted murmurs; heck, the June hols had just passed us by, and we’ve barely begun rehearsals for Singapore’s 61st. But, Resorts World Sentosa thinks otherwise.
They’ve just announced that the island getaway that is Sentosa will be playing host to the Festival of Thrills this spooky szn. It’ll be turning up the island’s fear factor for 2 months straight, with a brand new edition of USS’ Halloween Horror Nights along with a slew of heart-pumping offerings. Here’s everything you’ll need to brace yourself for.
The Resorts World Sentosa Festival of Thrills is a resort-wide calendar of events happening at none other than RWS from 1st September to 1st November 2026. It’s got something for island-goers of all ages, perfect for both horror fans and even folks looking to bring the little ones out for some mischief to usher in the spirit of Halloween.
Undoubtedly, the highlight of the Festival of Thrills has to be the annual scare fest that is Universal Studios Singapore’s Halloween Horror Nights. Back for its 14th run, it’ll be engulfing USS from 25th September to 1st November 2026 in a wave of horror-themed attractions, such as its iconic haunted houses.
This year, as part of the park’s Singapore’s Most Haunted series, one that’s looking to be mighty harrowing is Karang Guni: The Cursed Collection. You’re invited to trespass into a humble karang guni’s shophouse, which is cluttered with unwanted items that contain the ill fortunes of their former owners.
Another house themed after Singapore-inspired horror stories is Singapore’s Most Haunted: On Air. It’ll have you exploring an abandoned broadcast studio cursed to play horrific reenactments of the country’s darkest legends for all of eternity, and those who enter may very well be forced to star in one.

Meanwhile, the Made in Hell: Xinling Robotics haunted house draws from the horrors of today. Set in a state-of-the-art Chinese bioengineering and robotic facility where human lifeforce is harvested to power AI; expect to get caught in the fray as a rebel group launches an attack on humanity’s mechanical overlords.
Beyond the haunted houses, the park’s streets will also be bustling with visitors from the afterlife at 2 immersive zones. Party with the Raveyard’s undead residents at a neon-soaked shindig, or head into Ancient Egypt to pop by the Necropolis: The Serpent’s Crossroads. It’s a liminal crossroads where bargains are made with gods of yesteryear, but if you aren’t careful, you might end up with a deadly curse.

There’ll be family-friendly offerings over at USS too, in the form of the Trick or Thrills festivities happening around the park. Happening from 1st September to 1st November 2026, visitors will be able to catch new live shows, meet and greets, and indulge in themed treats and merch.
For instance, Minion Land will be dressed in Halloween’s colours, with Minion-themed jack-o’-lanterns and various frighteningly adorable photo ops. The banana-yellow buggers will also star in a new show, The Belloween Ball, and don’t be shy to stop mascots of the film’s characters such as Gru, Lucy, Margo, Agnes, and Edith for a pic.

Other beloved characters that will be donning special Halloween getups to say hi to include Sanrio’s Kuromi, Sesame Street’s Elmo, Count Von Count, Cookie Monster, and everyone’s favorite ogre couple, Shrek and Fiona. Also, keep your eyes peeled for spooky concoctions available for purchase at select restaurants and food carts, as well as exclusive Monster Bob and Sanrio merch that include a range of blind boxes and charms.

For a peaceful reprieve from the frights, take a gander at Into the Glowcean at Singapore Oceanarium. It’ll be running from 5th September to 1st November 2026, where you’ll get to see the oceanarium transform into a luminous underwater realm right before your eyes.

You’ll want to get your camera out – with its flash turned off of course – for Oceanic Glow, a series of immersive installations created by homegrown glass neon artist Megan Foo. Her art reinterprets how marine life uses light beneath the surface to signal desire, create camouflage, or display warning.
Visitors can have a go at creating their own neon light artwork too, or take part in a workshop organised by social enterprise Wild Space to bring home a personalised deep-sea animal keychain. There’ll also be interactive light painting experiences, along with face painting stations and trick-or-treat sessions for kids to enjoy.

Linger at the Open Ocean Habitat, and you just might catch a special dive feeding session featuring skeleton-costumed divers. When your tummy’s rumbling, the seasonal F&B offerings here are as tasty as they are IG worthy; the vibrantly-hued desserts and drinks are inspired by bioluminescent ocean life after all.

The Adventure Cove Waterpark’s also getting in on the act with Pool Party Panic. Held on every Saturday from 1st September to 1st November 2026, It’s an after-dark experience that starts off as a lively pool party but eerily evolves into a murder mystery. You’ll know when to put on your thinking caps once the music cuts, lights fail, and screams echo out.
Visitors are invited to work together to solve the mystery, by investigating crime scenes and solving puzzles to unmask the culprit. There’s also the Legend Keepers: The Ocean Spirit Awakens experience that’s geared more towards families too.
It’s an interactive experience where a mysterious board game has come to life, sending visitors all over the waterpark to rejuvenate an ocean spirit. You’ll stop by 5 locations inspired by local legends such as the ones surrounding Kusu Island, Bukit Merah, and Sisters’ Islands, to take on fun challenges.
