Quayside Isle Now Has Nightly Light Display & Dining Deals For Intimate Christmas Dinners By The Marina

Quayside Isle – Christmas events and promotions

Quayside Isle @ Sentosa Cove is known for its scenic views of the marina, serving as a little island getaway with food and activity options aplenty.

This Christmas, expect attractive dining deals from the wide range of restaurants offering cuisines all over the globe. Cap off an unforgettable evening by savouring the psychedelic colours and music from the nightly light display. Here’s the agenda for when it’s time to eat, drink, and be merry.

Blue Lotus – Chinese Eating House

Blue Lotus – Chinese Eating House elevates local and regional Asian fare into innovative culinary creations you’d never even dream of. A choice venue for commemorating special occasions, their huge second-storey private room offers unparalleled views of the entire marina.

Their Blue Lotus Signature Chilli Pomelo Crab ($8.60/100g) features a piquant, secret recipe sauce with a zesty surprise: pomelo shreds. The generous sprinkling of pomelo means each bite gives way to a burst of sweet and sour juices, effectively cutting through the richness of the yummy sauce.

Make sure to mop up every last drop with the addictive fried mantou buns and succulent crab meat.

Festive promotions: Enjoy a Spanish-Style Suckling Pig (3 day advance booking required) at $198 (UP $238). OR get a bottle of Prosecco at only $48, valid for dine-in only. Available till 31 Dec 2018.

Gin Khao Bistro

In a lush, modern setting, Gin Khao Bistro serves authentic Thai cuisine with the occasional eclectic twist.

We ordered the Khao Phat Dtaeng Moe ($14.80 for small, $25.80 for big) watermelon fried rice, a definite showstopper. Inspired by Thailand’s iconic pineapple fried rice, this upgraded version has juicy and refreshing morsels of watermelon mixed in.

For something a little more familiar, the fan-favourite Phat Thai Talay ($14.80) is a piping hot plate of pad thai noodles – sure to hit the spot. This street food staple is taken up a notch with plenty of fresh prawns, mussels and squid. Served with peanut chunks and chilli flakes at the side, you’re free to customise it to your desired spice level.

Festive promotions: Get 20% off the total bill when you dine in at Gin Khao Bistro (Not applicable for set meals or with other discounts). Available till 31 Dec 2018.

Greenwood Fish Market

Chillin’ by the waterfront will certainly whet your appetite for some ocean-fresh seafood.

Greenwood Fish Market dishes out some incredible oysters, each plump and bursting with briny flavours. Fine de Claire and Coffin Bay variety oysters are each $48 per dozen, while New Zealand Pacific Rock, Mary Point and Golden Mantle varieties are each $36 per dozen.

If you’re hosting a Christmas shindig, their takeaway sets are a must. Our top pick is the Cold Seafood Platter ($89), featuring steamed Boston lobster, marinated tuna sashimi, tiger prawns, mussels, clams, and their in-house applewood cold smoked salmon.

As an uber satisfying meal on its own, the Hot Smoked Ocean Trout ($5.90/100g) is a hefty hunk of succulent fish served with juicy portobello mushroom confit.

Delve into the world of Mediterranean cuisine with the Slow-cooked Lamb Shank ($30), encrusted with a robust and aromatic blend of herbs and spices, finished with a mint yoghurt drizzle.

Sabio By The Sea, Tapas Bar & Grill

Besides looking super swanky, we can attest that the chefs at Sabio By The Sea, Tapas Bar & Grill  reeeally know their stuff.

The Ceviche de Gambas ($18) is a cold tapas dish of corn tortilla chips and guacamole with massive tiger prawns. It’s got quite a kick to it, watch out for the bits of chilli padi! We highly recommend the Soft-Shell Crab Paella ($13 for small, $18 for big), with lots of strong spices and toothsome rice.

And for dessert, the Churros ($11) are A+. Dusted with cinnamon sugar and served with caramel and chocolate dipping sauces, the insides were fluffy and not too dense.

Festive promotions: Get a soft-shell crab Paella on the house with a minimum order of 5 hot Tapas. Available till 31 Dec 2018.

From 24 – 25 Dec, there will be a 3-hour free-flow tapas buffet for $68 per pax. Top up an additional $48 per pax for free-flow Spanish wine (Cava), sangria and beer.

One taste of the wood-fired oven pizzas from SolePomodoro Trattoria Pizzeria, and your love for pizza will never be the same again.

Chefs whip up the orders from scratch, in an open concept pizza zone so you can witness the magic right before your eyes.

Besides the scrumptious Ortolana Pizza ($22) with mozzarella, tangy tomato sauce and a grilled vegetable medley, we also sampled the Raviolo Al Tartufo ($25, truffle ravioli) and Profiteroles ($16) for dessert. The ravioli is delectably rich and creamy, with walnut bits for crunch.
