Just a few days ago, Pokémon Singapore announced the upcoming closure of the Pokémon Center at Jewel Changi Airport on 1st April while it undergoes a comprehensive overhaul.
However, we’ve got good news for Pokémon fans, because starting tomorrow, 5th March, there will be a roving Pokémon truck that’ll be driving around Singapore. To make this sweeter, this truck will house Nintendo Switch 2 gaming stations for you to try the all-new Pokémon Pokopia simulation game.
The Pokémon truck will be on the move from 5th March to 4th June 2026, from 10am-10pm on the stated days. The locations have only been fixed for this month, so you will have to keep an eye for announcements on where it’ll be after that.
Here’s where you can find the truck:
| Date | Location |
| 6th-8th March | Bugis+ |
| 13th-15th March | Bugis Junction |
| 20th-22nd March | Chinatown Point |
| 27th-29th March | VivoCity |
| From 3rd April | TBC |

The main attraction here is the Pokémon truck, of course – a 24-footer. LED decked-out vehicle that’ll house 5 demo stations where you can try out the new Pokémon Pokopia game for the Nintendo Switch 2. BTW, the game is also launching tomorrow, which is the whole reason behind this activation.
What’s all the fuss about? Firstly, this year marks Pokémon’s 30th anniversary. Secondly, the all-new Nintendo Switch 2 game is a life simulation game that’s a spin-off from the main Pokémon series.
In this game, players control a Ditto who’s imitating a human, and the game has crafting and building mechanics that players use to befriend new Pokémon – they then teach Ditto, AKA you, moves that you can use to interact with the game environment.
Back to the demo stations on the truck: there are 5 of ‘em, plus sofa seats so you can test the game in comfort.
P.S.: Should you purchase a physical game card, you’ll be able to redeem a Ditto Smartphone Cleaner Keychain too, while stocks last. Also redeemable without any purchase, in limited supply, are free, exclusive Pokémon Pokopia sun visors.
While you wait for your turn at the gaming stations, you can snap photos with the photo spots that are slated to be set up around where the truck is parked. If you’re lucky, you might even catch a Pikachu mascot who will pop up on some of the weekends.
There will also be a colouring booth for kids, so you won’t have to deal with cranky little ones.
If you can’t make it to any of the above locations, don’t worry, because for this weekend only, there will be similar demo stations at Kallang Wave Mall and *SCAPE. Do note that these activations will not feature the truck, but you’ll be testing the game out on an “island” featuring houses and decor.
If you are heading to Kallang or *SCAPE, you’ll receive an exclusive postcard
It’s time to catch ‘em all with the new game and the Pokémon truck. Next month, you can look forward to Pokémon Champions, a new battle-focused game launching on Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android.
