Mark your calendars, everyone – the annual Mid-Autumn Festival is happening on 29th September this year. While we still have a couple of weeks till D-Day, it’s never too early to start celebrating. If you’re looking for inspo on where to go, look no further as Paya Lebar Quarter (PLQ) has an array of activities for you and the fam.

From now till 1st October 2023, expect a tonne of dining deals, IG-worthy photo ops, and live music performances that’ll make your journey to the East worth it. Read on to find out more:

Snap photos with Mid-Autumn-themed decor at PLQ Parkside

Be prepared to fill up your camera roll as there are plenty of chio decorations at PLQ. Head to PLQ Parkside to see strings of holographic lanterns and shimmering fairy lights hung on the trees, mimicking the stars in the sky .

Adding in elements of the rainbow are the colourful lights under the benches, so your pics will have fun pops of pink, purple, and green.

There are several lounge chairs placed around the area too – perfect for those who need to rest their feet after hours of shopping. And while there aren’t any real fireflies buzzing around, there are dozens of tiny firefly lights in the planters instead.

Catch live music performances for free at PLQ Plaza

Adding some tunes to the mix are the live music performances happening at PLQ Plaza every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 15th September to 1st October 2023, 7pm-10pm. We won’t spoil the surprise, but you can expect a mix of English and Mandarin songs that are Mid-Autumn Festival-related.

Celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival with PLQ

For the uninitiated, Paya Lebar has a bunch of surrounding malls and entertainment spaces, including the aforementioned PLQ Parkside.

Those planning to head to PLQ Parkside can alight at Paya Lebar MRT and take Exit E. Then, walk towards Wine Connection and cross the street to Sims Avenue. Once you see the giant sign right by the traffic lights, you’ll know you’re at the right place.

Alternatively, you can also head there via PLQ Mall, Level 2. Just walk towards Watsons (#02-19) and cross the bridge over to Park Place Residences, and head to Level 1 from there to find PLQ Parkside.
