There’s simply no escaping the waves of excitement that Star Wars generates even after its debut 40 years ago – we’re so invested that there’s even a day dedicated to the movie in our calendars: May the 4th. So it’s no surprise that we’ve been bombarded with endless Star Wars hype since the release of this legendary movie franchise’s latest instalment on Dec 14th.
Even if you’re not a superfan (yet), here’s your chance to jump on the bandwagon and feel a part of this cult fandom: PastaMania is launching 3 new pasta dishes inspired by the latest sequel, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, along with limited edition mini plushies of iconic out-of-this-world characters!
While Star Wars fans will revel in these not-so-subtle allusions to the movie, see: dark-side-inspired squid ink pasta and tomato-based pasta complementing Snoke’s red Praetorian Guards, even non-fans who don’t really get it can still enjoy these delectable new dishes.
PastaMania’s Star Wars Pasta will be available from 22nd December 2017 to 12th January 2018, so head on down to any PastaMania outlet and get your fill of these galactic dishes before it’s too late.
Fully embracing this red-themed sequel, PastaMania has whipped up a hearty Beetroot Tomato Pasta with Barramundi inspired by the crimson planet (Crait) that featured heavily as a battleground in the new movie.
Besides its red aesthetic, this dish consists a generous slice of sea bass laid atop a bed of fusilli pasta tossed with robust tomato sauce and slices of beetroot. Beetroot powder is also drizzled on to give this dish its tangy, refreshing taste.
A nod to the classic question “which side will you choose?”, this Squid Ink Seafood Pasta aptly named “A Chosen Destiny” embodies the Dark Side.
Though it may look intimidating at first sight, every forkful of this al dente pasta is a savoury symphony of squid ink-infused spaghetti, generously seasoned prawns and calamari rings garnished all around with oregano, garlic, and diced tomatoes.
For those who are committed to #TeamJedi, opt for their Italian Sausage with Aglio Olio.
A light and palatable dish for the tastebuds, this dish consists linguini pasta with two pieces of juicy sausages on the side, tossed with broccoli, mushrooms, and garnished with garlic.
How can you resist these faces
