Parkroyal Marina Bay Has Whimsical Themed Rooms For Family Staycations This June Hols

Parkroyal Marina Bay family staycations

The June school hols are fast approaching, which means it’s time to research some fun things to do with the kids so they can let loose and shake off the stress of school. Besides the usual overseas trip, which may be quite a chore to plan and navigate especially with little ones in tow, consider having a staycay instead.

Parkroyal Marina Bay has family staycations with adorable themed rooms. Besides the next-level bunk beds modelled after burrows and treehouses, there is also a full suite of activities and workshops. This means that you’ll just have to book it, show up, and your kiddo will be well entertained from check-in to check-out.

What to expect at Parkroyal Marina Bay family staycations

Not gonna lie, even as a full-grown adult, the sight of these themed rooms at Parkroyal Marina Bay had me ooh-ing and ahh-ing, wishing I could snuggle up in those next-level bunk beds myself.

Called The Gnome’s Burrow, this room has a bunk bed where kids can climb up ladders and stone stairs, zip down a slide, lay down in the open-air upper capsule, or curl up in the cosy burrow below. The capsule on top leads to a carpeted patch of faux grass where children can hang out, complete with “rock” cushions to drive the nature theme home.

If your kid is in their wildlife fascination era, you can opt for The Gnome’s Treehouse instead. The wallpaper gives major jungle adventure vibes, and the bunk bed is also a unique structure of floating balconies. Your little ones will have a blast make-believing that they’re sleeping in a treehouse in the wild, only in 5-star comfort.

Besides the awe-inspiring sleeping area, there are plenty of activities and amenities to ensure that your child will be kept busy and making fond memories throughout their stay. Your child will get a taste of the VIP treatment with welcome drinks, a set of gnome-themed slippers and a bathrobe, and a gnome-themed plushie and tote bag to bring home for the memz.

Within the room, kiddos will have no lack of things to do. There’ll be colouring kits, all sorts of board and card games, and even a Nintendo Switch complete with steering wheel controllers at their disposal.

As part of this family staycation package, there will also be a complimentary Terrarium Milk Pudding Workshop run by the chef of Peppermint – Parkroyal Marina Bay’s in-house restaurant, and Urban Farm Tour.

In the latter, your child will be brought around the hotel’s rooftop garden to learn about plants and sustainability.

How much is a family staycation at Parkroyal Marina Bay?

Given how spoil-market the room set-ups, amenities, and inclusions are, the price point is certainly more on the luxury end.

The Welcome To Gnome’s Land package is priced $1,488/night, featuring your choice of the Burrow or Treehouse room, connected to a regular room with a king-sized bed for mum and dad. The price includes daily breakfast buffets for 2 adults and 2 children.

While it’s quite a splurge, the experience is sure to delight your lil ones, and create cherished memories not just for them but the whole family. To offset the cost in the long run, you can plan your upcoming family trips and staycays with our guides to affordable hotels and cheap flight hacks.
