Our town area seems to be getting a steady makeover with the reopening of PoMo as GR.ID, a massive Courts overtaking The Heeren and now, the revamp of Palais Renaissance.
Situated across the road from Forum and Far East Shopping Centre, this luxury mall is getting a new look along with exciting eateries and shopping spots, alongside an upcoming uber-glam interior.
Palais Renaissance is no stranger to foodies thanks to its existing popular eateries such as PS.Cafe and Merci Marcel.

This December, shoppers wandering Orchard Road will be blessed with more joints to flock to, with four new restaurants added to Palais Renaissance’s ground floor and basement. Crepe speciality restaurant French Fold has recently opened its second outlet here, alongside Siam Smith, gastro-bar Binary and fine-dining restaurant Caviar.

The mall is perhaps best known for its luxury retailers – you can now shop to your heart’s content at new tenant LuxLexicon, known to have largest collection of Hermès and Chanel handbags in Asia.

If there’s anything that Funan and the other recently renovated malls have shown us, it’s that Singaporeans don’t necessarily need a new mall to go gaga; we stan an upgraded interior as well.

Shedding its old skin, Palais Renaissance is currently undergoing renovations to refresh the mall’s interior and exterior, slated to be completed in January 2022. From artist impressions, it seems visitors can expect a brighter and sleeker entryway, drop off point and atrium space.

Down at the basement, a dedicated neon-lit wall framed with golden hues and plants will soon await for all of us to go to town with our OOTDs.
As we head out to hang out and dine with groups of up to five once again, it’s all too easy for many of us to get stuck deciding where to go and what to eat. While you head to Orchard Road to shop for gifts and admire the Christmas light displays this month, also stop by Palais Renaissance for some food and retail therapy.
